I don't know about not winning anything for a long time. 3 NFC championships and a super bowl appearance isn't *average* so while the 49ers haven't won any super bowls recently, the consistency is there.
Whoa there Skipper.
3 NFC championships? Or making it to 3 Championship games?
I know for a fact that until 2011, making it to an NFC championship game and losing a Super Bowl equated to nothing according to Niner fans.
Winning the division was no accomplishment when the Hawks did it 4 years straight and 5 times 7 years. That was until 2011. The Hawks have won it 6 times in the last 10 years, winning 9 playoff gaImes, going to 2 Super Bowls and winning 1 of them.
Hawk fans heard about it every year, it doesn't matter if you don't win the Super Bowl. The DenialNiner wouldn't be generous enough to call the Hawks average. After a 13-3 season and a Super Bowl loss the DenialNiner said the Hawks flat out sucked.
Buffalo? BUFFALO? THEY ACTUALLY WON THE AFCC GAMES. Why are you comparing the Niners choke jobs in their losses to the team that actually went to the Super Bowl? There is a BIG difference.
Heck.. overall the Niners haven't done anything more than the Cards have in the last 5 years. They won the division twice and lost a Super Bowl to an AFCN team.
