Its a good example for some of the newer/younger fans that really have no idea how much tougher it was back in the day.

I was watching that game and remember Largent yelling something to the effect of " But he said it wasn't retaliatory!"

I was shocked to see Steve take Harden out, but it felt soooooo good!

It's interesting how memory works. In my mind, I was seeing both of those plays as if they were in the same game. I guess it's just the connection, ying and yang.

Mmmmmmmm, maybe. He does lead with his shoulder and doesn't come near Harden's head. If it were a block nowdays it would for sure be flagged for blindside but as a tackle on a ball carrier..........I'm not as sure.
I just get all giddy every time I watch it. Maybe the best payback I've ever seen on a football field.

You're reading way more into it than there is.

Leave to a Hawk to turn something good to something bad.

Its really simple, there are many young fans that don't know their own teams history or legends of the game. They also don't understand what it was like playing without all the protections players have now.

Again call it what you want just thought it was a cool video of one of the all time football greats.
