Incredibly proud of the 12, and wish I could've joined in.

It kind of makes me laugh to think about a number of people who thought the record idea couldn't be broken and was going to backfire on the 12th man. God, I can't wait for Nov. 3rd.

I think one of the great parts of the game was during the delay and they were showing the NBC broadcast and Collinsworth makes a comment about how the delay was going to help the Niners because it was going to dampen the crowd and the 15k or so that were still in the seats (mostly upper deck under cover) started booing him in unison. I didn't hear what Michaels said but it sounded something like "the crowd apparently disagrees with you". Awesome.

Then - after the break, we hit 136.6. The delay really hurt us I guess!

Long time .netters probably remember we had our own poster with a decibel meter at some of our loudest games. We reached 129 on a regular basis, and that was in the stands. I knew we had a real shot at breaking the record, especially when the forecast called for rain. The low hanging clouds and thick atmosphere have been key components to reaching truly deafening levels.

That is incredible, I honestly didn't think it was going to happen.

I'm proud of everyone there, and wish I could've taken part in it. Well done !

The noise has been the Whiner's biggest excuse for losing the game last night. I've seen many 49ers fans complaining about it being an unfair advantage and that the league should do something about it.

It was an epic night. I'm hungover as hell, have taken the day off and laying on the couch recovering. My throat hurts, my head hurts, my whole body hurts. The nachos were a terrible idea. But the experience, being part of that record, was worth every second of the pain.

We were down on the 40 yard line in Row J, which is about 10 rows up from the field. It was deafening, but still not as loud as the 2005 Giants game.

Cracks me up when people like Collinsworth talk about this or that quieting the home crowd. They really don't get it. Fans in the Pac NW come to make noise. We don't quit no matter what happens on the field. In fact, as with the New England game, the crowd just gets louder when the team starts falling behind.

Hans, like families do, you and I might disagree on matters in the Shack, but we are all 12's, and I'll tell ya what....I'm damn proud of you, and the rest that were there for the way you rep'd the 12th man and our Hawks!! My hats off to you bro! (samwize bows low)

During the game, I get this comment that started a little exchange with someone on my facebook:

A&M did it first. And where'd that even come from? Never once heard a Hawks fan mention 12th man till the last few years.

Don't worry, I set him straight.

Yeah, I remember feeling a bit irked when Joe Tafoya came on the forums and the boo birds came out with their sniveling "But but but... What if we fail? Oh lawd I can't bear the burden of these expectations!". Joe Tafoya told those people to shut up and bring the noise.

I will admit, though, some internal skepticism as to whether or not this could be done. I contract on the side with a couple sound engineering companies, as well as my own, and in my trade it's hard enough to reach even 120db with loudspeakers, much less just vocal cords. I realize a lot of other teams will try, but I don't think they will come close to matching our intensity. This record will stand for quite some time, I feel.

Man,

Temple was a Sea of Green and Blue last night. I've never seen it so full! Great to hang with all of you, by the way!

The crowd was astounding! Such a Fun game! I heard in the Bathroom we broke the record. The rest of the game, my brother and I were congratulating everyone we saw.

LOL, it is like family. Brothers argue until someone else messes with one of them, then it's on! The Shack is a diversion but now that the season is on, I'm all about Seahawks football and every member of the 12th Man is a brother.

I'm so proud of the 12th Man for breaking that noise record. My mom sent me a message on Facebook today saying she teared up when they announced the record had been broken. I need to watch the TV broadcast on my DVR (as soon as this hangover lets up a bit) so I can see it. I know it'll have the same effect on me. So much pride in that tradition up here. I remember fans going bezerk in the Kingdome trying to draw flags for the noise rule. So sweet that we are now officially the loudest stadium in the world.

We are the loudest stadium in the world.
