All new coaching staff, so we don't have any history to base opinions on. Most teams keep 4, I think, but they all do tradeoffs between RBs, WRs, and TEs. Holani and MacIntosh both did pretty well. So I guess I'm on the keep 4 RBs team, but that might cost us a WR or TE.
That’s the calculus now. For McDonald, JS, and crew. Honestly, McDonald was blessed with a strong base and a good draft. This is going to be an interesting season!

I hear you.

I was basing my statement on McIntosh being hurt all last year and Kenneth Walker III getting hurt and missing games . I think Charbonet (sp?) might've been a little injured as well but I'm not positive.

Like you mentioned, it's a new staff so we don't really know how things will go. I hope we have better luck moving forward.

How many years will people continue to beat these drums? theres still people who want to "see more of geno" lol. And Seattle's D wasn't basically its starters... do you have access to that final 53 man roster?
I don't know what this means, but I meant nothing negative toward Geno or Howell or even drums in general. I just meant that the Chargers O is more dependent on Herbert while Seahawks can probably do ok with a great receiving corp and run game. Geno playing great is more of a piece of the offense as opposed to the entire offense.

You're correct that I don't have a final roster. I should have used the word "projected" and I apologize to all if that was offensive or confusing or disparaging in some way. That projected roster is available in a thread on .net homepage if your question about me having access was serious.

It's no big deal. I make up my own roster based on what I see and hear. Then see how the our staff make it turn out in terms of right on or not. It's just another way to get involved as 'part of the team' when you can no longer play.

The defense looked massively improved. Very disciplined, guys in position, flying to the ball etc. And it was all game. There really was just one drive they gave up a couple of things, but meh. This team has a very tight/together feel to them, hard to explain. They just seem different, to me at least.
Finally, something different. And it's gonna' get a hell of a lot better. And Spoon is clearly taking on a leadership role. Love watching that guy not only play, but celebrate everything his teammates do.

Do they usually only keep three RB? I know there are only so many roster spots but damn they get beat up.
I think four would be a minimum. RB position is exposed to a high attrition rate, as you said, so you almost have to have four. I think WR spot goes about six deep as a rule. Coach Mac's value for versatility helps line rotation require fewer bodies. I expect to see us go at least eight deep on DBs.

For ole toffee, on the day before a game, I drink to a good win on the game day. When Hawks win, I celebrate for 3 days before putting on my armchair coach hat and picking the game apart.

I have a hard time contemplating why people respond to a months or years old thread. Can someone smarter than myself explain this great mystery of life?
