The running back told NFL Media's Nate Burleson on Tuesday that his new Indianapolis Colts team could be the best collection of offensive talent he's played with, and specifically singled out Andrew Luck.

Play NFL Fantasy Football!

"I think if we keep working and keep going and get that gelled, I think by far it can," Gore said. "Especially with No. 12, man. I'm not knocking my other quarterbacks, I respect them other guys, but being around this guy a couple months, he's a different breed. He's smart. He makes me feel young. He runs the huddle. I never had that."

This is semi NFC west related in that it basically says Kaep is not a leader. Which I think many of us already know by his post game interviews. Just thought it was interesting.

Well that was interpretation of it. He said Im not knocking my other quarterbacks (The most recent being Colin) But being around Luck which in his words is a whole different breed. His description of being different is.

Luck is Smart... He respects Colin
Luck runs the huddle and he said he has never had that. A QB needs to be a leader, and it sounds like Kap didn't run the huddle.

In other news:

As expected, long injury list. DJ Humphries hyperextended knee. Could miss up to week. 13 guys will miss practice. #CardsCamp

Luckily none of them are too serious, but geeze the Hawks have been lucky again.. Injuries are often a thing of Luck.

First, I'm never going to suggest Colin is as good as Luck. He's not and likely never will be...

...but I think the media and fans spend so much time parsing the exact words of players, coaches and management and take things from them that were never intended. I highly doubt that Franks intent was to say Colin and Alex weren't leaders. His intent was to compliment Luck...but that's not interesting, so its spun a completely different way.

Man I hate the media.

I mean, what did Gore even mean? Perhaps he just means that Luck can call plays from the huddle...something Harbaugh wouldn't let Smith or Kap do. Who knows. Just seems its always spun in worst possible light.

Another offensive lineman down. G John Fullington. Working on his left leg, headed off on a cart. #CardsCamp

Hopefully Floyd will be ready to go before the 1st week. With 5 weeks to go Im sure he will be. However we already have 6 starters on offense injured and a couple on Defense.

I've been saying that for awhile now. Cards are 10-4 in 1 score games over the last 2 seasons, 11-7 in games decided by more than 1 score. in that same span, the Hawks are 8-6 in 1 score games, and 17-1 in games decided by more than 1 score. No one wants to listen.

In regards to the last post, what that article doesnt really take into account is we had a point differential of +53 with Palmer in 6 games last year....

Sure if we had the same players playing as last year I could agree with that argument. But we should be a healthier team this year not playing a 4th String QB and RB.... Not missing all starting LB's etc...

Also something I thought I would share for some fun reading on the 49ers forums.

http://www.49erswebzone.com/forum/niner ... d/page198/

""""Thank you elguapo! If Seattle's draft was really good then their cut players should be doing well on other teams...no? Their loaded roster is better than the niners loaded roster of the past few years? No. Not sure Elephant's post makes much sense unless just looking to be negative...or is that "realistic?"""""

They are actually debating that SF has the more stacked roster and that 3/4 of Seattles draft have been poop.

Elguapo is an idiot, but always good for a hearty laugh. The Seahawks have at least 5 players from every draft including undrafted free agents since Pete's arrival that are still on the team. Baalke has two from 2011 and zero from 2012. The niners are going to be relying on their 2013 draft picks that have very little playing time up to now. Half of that draft would have been cut if Baalke had done a better job the previous years.

I don't follow niner cut players, but I read that Seattle led the league with cut players making other teams rosters, so there goes Elguapo's ill-informed opinion on that. I think Seattle's cut players also lead the league in STARTS on other teams too. I don't expect cut players to be that good on other teams because if they were very good, they wouldn't have been cut.

Seattle's depth players have more playing time than the new niner starters will have going into this season and they have made it to back to back Super Bowl's. Not skeerd.

Uhh, what?

They have six of them from 2011 (five of those six are even starters) and another 3 from 2012. Whatchya talking 'bout, dude?

2011:

Aldon Smith
Kaepernick
Bruce Miller
Daniel Kilgore
Ian Williams
Kendall Hunter

2012:

Joe Looney
Garrett Celek

Brain fart.

I was thinking starts and was going from memory of last year posting about the same thing. Kilgore and Williams finally got to start after three years. Besides Aldon and Kaepernick, there were nine starts from the rest of that group combined last year. They have a total of 10 starts from those 2012 guys over three seasons. I mistakenly thought all the draft picks from 2012 were gone. Either way, those drafts aren't nearly as good as the Seahawks drafts have been. That was the point and the point still stands.

Elguapo is foolish to think the niners have been drafting better than the Seahawks over the past few years and that the niners have better depth. The backups for the Seahawks have more playing time than the new starters the niners will be rolling out this season. Since the niner backups are now going to be starters and those new starters have played a very small amount of snaps, how can niner fans think their backups are better than the Seahawks backups with zero playing time?

Weird day for you.

Even randomly excluding two of the starters as you wish, last year:

Kilgore started weeks 1-7 until he was lost for the year.

Ian Williams started Weeks 1-10 until he was lost for the year.

Bruce Miller started 16 games last year (only counted as 8 because their first offensive play didn't include a FB in 8 games).

Should have been "before" last year. I don't count fullback because they're next to useless as draft picks these days.

Scuffles at Rams Camp. And, 10 days til I get to see them scrimmage the 'Boys!!

It's common to see a scuffle or two break out in a regular training camp practice but the Rams had two or three that seemed to go on for a bit. At one point, tackle Greg Robinson got tied up with end Robert Quinn leading to a skirmish, though I couldn't tell who Robinson was going after because of the scrum around them.

But the biggest involved a couple of usual culprits in linebacker Alec Ogletree and tight end Jared Cook. Ogletree delivered a hit to a running back and he and Cook started jawing. It eventually devolved into more trash talking before Ogletree and Cook went after each other. For the most part, they were held back by teammates but Cook put up quite a fight before he was finally restrained.

Rams coach Jeff Fisher doesn't mind the physical approach but also has his limit on what's OK and what's not.

"You just want to make sure someone doesn't get caught off guard," Fisher said. "There were little things going on that they got worked out. They're ready to go practice with somebody else, go play somebody else."

The good news is the Rams don't have much longer to wait. They're a little more than a week from the preseason opener in Oakland and then get a couple of days with the Dallas Cowboys in Oxnard, California.

http://espn.go.com/blog/st-louis-rams/p ... t-practice

Also, Tre Mason didn't practice with some hamstring tightness, so Cunningham took most of the reps.

Center is looking to be an issue (as expected).

Perfecting the personal foul penalties in practice. Fisher will have them working on ejections tomorrow. Gotta lead the league in SOMETHING.

Actually, I read somewhere that he feels like their personal fouls are down in practice this year.

First, it's funny he is tracking this. And, I sure hope so.

Apparently over-priced redundant stadiums isn't enough. :0190l:
