Heading to the game tonight. Friend gave me free tickets in the club level. Mets have been the best team in baseball the last few months. Hopefully we can get at least 2-3 but will be difficult.

Mets have about 60 more walks, about 150 more hits, and about 100 more runs scores than the Mariners.

Good way to start the series.

Bliss goes yard for the first time at T-Mobile. Rivas with a key RBI single. Have I said how much I love RBI singles? :)

Miller pitches a gem and the pen protected the lead well.

Another good pitching matchup tomorrow.

Ms win despite the horrible calls behind the plate today. Ump was calling strikes on balls on both sides of the plate.

I'm not sure if we can count on Rivas and Bliss every night, though.

Can't count on anybody every night. It's a game of streaks. I'm just happy they contributed in a big way. Between the two of them they accounted for 4 of our 6 runs. That's a big contribution. Not bad for a couple of rooks.

Holy crap, where did Bliss and Rivas come from? I need to catch up on my Ms players.
Been in our farm system. Recently called up. Rooks will often do well the first few games. Let's see how they develop over time. Certainly look good on a small sample size, and they were doing well in the minors.

4 walks in the first 3 innings tonight. Don't think I've seen that yet all year

They showed a graphic that the M's have the 4th highest walk rate in MLB. I was pretty surprised to see that. And I think it was 5 walks in the first 3 innings.

Shut them out for two straight. Gotta love that.

Got our requisite 4 runs for the win. :)

Ran their starter after 3 innings. That's some plate discipline there. What was it? 85 pitches in 3? 🤯

Solid game all around. Castillo on the bump tomorrow. Remember, 4:10 first pitch on ESPN.

Rojas is batting under .200 since June 1st but they keep playing him every day. Why in the world did they get rid of Geno. Dude probably wanted out like Teo did...?
