I always find it humorous when folks go out and buy player jerseys with pre-season numbers, only to find out when the season starts, whoops, that player changed his number.

Apart from the families of the players, who ever would have bought these guys' jerseys at all should be laughed at...

In their defense, it's happened with some pretty high profile guys. Julian Peterson comes to mind.

I guess it makes sense to assign Simon a number. For some reason at first it didn't make sense why he was getting a new number.

didnt BMW change numbers after pre season? went from 1 to 17? i know its happened quite a bit with some of the bigger names when they first come in.
