Just how good do you think Russell Wilson is?

Consider arm strength, accuracy, winning percentage, decision making, clutch, smarts, and team he plays for. If we can't say he's better than the Brady's, Rodger's and P.Manning's, we can at least say that he is arugably in there class, espcially because he's 1-0 vs. all those QB's (see "U Mad Bro", "Fail Mary" and week 2 of the preseason of this year. Personally I think Russell is smoothly on the verge of being/becoming Elite if he isn't already. Many of you will probably say you haven't seen enough to categorize our QB, but game in and game out he (and his team) find a way to win and we're 10-1 (awesome). Rank him as best you can. I'm curious to see our board thinks about him.

(I give some credit to the quarterback's that win championships too, if you can't tell)

I think he's in the tier right below elite but I don't agree with some of the QB's you have in tier 2. Flacco? Eli? Luck and Cam not even in tier 3?

By that rationale, Marino sucked.

Yep, Dilfer was a better QB than Marino. The ring on his finger says so.

Not sucked, but I cant rate him up there with the very greatest ever. That said, Marino still is the exception for the rule. And obviously nobody would rate Dilfer ahead of Marino just cause he has a ring. But the very elite do find a way to win it all. My two cents, like it or not.

look I understand giving more credit to those who have rings but to say Eli and Flacco are playing at a higher level than Cam, Luck, Stafford, Foles, and even Romo is silly IMO

And have I said that? The discussion was about when one is "elite".

Ring does not make one elite but not having one does make a difference.

Apparently Jim Kelly, Fran Tarkenton, Warren Moon and Dan Fouts also sucked.

You know, ESPN put a lot of work into their QBR statistic and so it would only be common decency for you to form all of your opinions based on it. As a result, I can only assume that the first option you left blank should actually be #1 Josh McCown. He is currently the leading the league with a QBR of 81.0, which is far superior to scrubs like Tom Brady (58.2).

The first NFL game I ever attended was when I was living in Miami as a kid, and got to see Marino play at Sun Life. He'll always have a special place in my heart. Plus the whole laces out thing from Ace Ventura, lol.

During my time as a Dolphins fan, Marino was my hero, in fact he was the reason I became enamoured with the 'fins as well as the Seahawks.

As for this poll I'd put Wilson in Tier 2 as I think he needs to prove himself over a longer period of time before you can make that step up to Tier 1.

I do think you have some bizzare selections to highlight the tiers but then I guess it's all about opinions.

Pretty much this, he's had a great 2 seasons, needs to keep it up for longer to be considered in the Manning, Brady, Brees & Rodgers class. If he wins a ring and continues to shine for another 2-3yrs then we can anoint him as the greatest.

That's not to say I don't think he's amazing but lets not get ahead of ourselves

I don't think "rings" is the greatest measure of a QB, as championships are a team effort, but the only thing really keeping Wilson out of the top tier is his body of work being so small. If he continues to play at a high level and put together stats and wins like he is hell be up there.

As for currently, ya. He's top 3 IMO
