Jokes aside, hopefully he can turn it around soon.
He might actually might be just a legit bust.
Couldn't have happened to a better owner, but gotta feel bad for the fanbase at this point

I think fans there have realized they need to draft another qb. Not sure how or why Young was the consensus 1 pick..or even drafted at this point.

The rumor is that Tepper wanted Young. The coach or GM wanted someone else. I forget now.

In a lofty place tanglin' with Satan over history.
This what happens when one listens to media hype for their pick.
Yeah I want 5'6" 160lb QB running my offense in the NFL, it's going
to go well.
They're never gonna live that pick down. Truly one of the most asinine #1 picks literally EVER. At least Jamarcus Russell was a big mfer. Young doesn't even WALK like a starting NFL caliber QB. Kid is slight as hell. "You're light in the ass, boy, you weigh about a buck.."- some rapper that I can't remember atm.

If Russ is cleared to play in Week 3, it will present an interesting dilemma for Tomlin. Fields isn't lighting it up, but he's not hurting them, either. But on the other hand, the reason why they brought both Fields and Russell in was to improve their QB room, and so far, Fields hasn't done that.

My instinct is that being that the Steelers are 2-0, that Fields will get the start and continue to start until he or the team falters. It's not very often that a team replaces their starting QB when they're undefeated.

It's not as though Justin Fields is lighting it up either. He only threw for 117 yards vs the Broncos. Fields isn't a passer. The difference is he is in his 20s and can run. Still can't throw the ball. We know Russ can at least throw the deep ball. Fields can't even do that. He's thrown for 1 td in 2 games. His yards per throw average is 6.85, no wonder he is sporting a comp pct of 69.8 currently. His longest throw vs the Broncos was 16 yards. They aren't asking him (or didn't ask him to) to throw the ball at all.

Arizona picked Kyler "troll doll" Murray #1 and he is having some success because he has good weapons around him. Unfortunately, Bryce Young doesn't. Bryce is just as good (and the same size) as Kyler. Put him on Arizona and he would be having the same success.

Who said anything about Justin Fields? Also, Kyler may be the same HEIGHT as Bryce Young, but their build is nothing alike.

Russ is the QB version of what a lot of RB have been over the years. Good one year, then done. He relied way too much on backyard ball, which took athleticism. Once he lost some speed, he couldn’t adjust to being a pocket passer because he’s to small.

If he doesn't play Sunday it's because of his injury. There no conspiracy for the Stealers to coverup or"coddle" Wilson from Sean Payton. Wilson was named starter, it's just bad luck he got injured. I really wanted to watch this matchup
I wasn't speaking of Pittsburgh holding him back or cover up for Wilson . I was implying Wilson conveniently got hurt.

For his own preservation

Ya think the Steelers are waiting for an offer and just keeping him in cold storage?

I think they see a young qb in Fields who despite what the stats say, is playing pretty well.

As long as he continues to get better every week, i doubt they will turn to Russ.
