This is not a good look at all, wonder what could have gotten into Cal?

I was just posting something about this, you beat me to it. I'll move what I said over here and delete mine:

https://bolavip.com/en/mlb/mariners...-back-at-cal-raleigh-after-wbc-handshake-snub

So apparently there's some Drama going on from the WBC game between USA and Mexico. Randy Arozarena reaches out to shake Cal's hand as he comes up for his at bat. Cal refuses to shake his hand and instead greets him by saying, "Good to see you". After the game Randy is asked about it in an interview and responds by seemingly taking offense and telling Cal he can shove his greeting up is @$$...

Some are speculating this is them razzing one another and they just have a joking teasing relationship. Some are thinking it was just a miscommunication and that Cal couldn't touch Randy's hand because he could have potentially gotten pine tar transferred onto his hand breaking the rules. Yet others are saying this is a real beef between the two.

Dan Wilson was asked about it this morning and did not mention anything about it being a joke. What do you guys think? Could something like this become a real fracture in the locker room or is this a nothingburger? If it's real do you look at moving Randy with guys like Brennon Davis already pushing for a spot in the outfield?

Yeah, a dude who barely bats .230, is a strikeout machine and an average fielder.......Randy needs to shut his pie hole.

I'm good with them trading his a**

I mean, not to sound like a drama king because I know Soulfish will call me out on it, but…. Damn. I don’t know how to spin any positives from this

Damn, Randy sounds like a real dewsh. Just being honest.
I wouldn't call you out at all. Randy is being a little 5-year-old. I hope they trade Randy at this point.
This isn't just some "nothing burger" at all. And I'm absolutely guilty of downplaying stuff. Is Randy THIS thin skinned?

Welp, we're doomed. Randy is a locker room cancer and the whole team has been poisoned. Might as well get rid of Randy, Cal, Julio, Naylor, Donovan, and all of our starting pitchers, and move the team to Salt Lake City. The whole franchise is toxic at this point. There's no coming back from an incident like this.

Haha.

It is absolutely nothing at all.
There is a rule in the WBC that if a pitcher has any Pine Tar on their hand they get kicked out of the tournament. So, the catchers are not shaking hands with batters in the batter's box for fear of getting Pine Tar on their hands and transferring it to the pitchers.

I’d a trade Randy before the season starts. I don’t like his attitude, his mean mugging of everyone, his inability to hit the ball, his lack of effort in the outfield. Total bum

Interesting take on this, and actually makes a bit of sense.

Hoping it's a nothing burger and that it doesn't create any locker room probs going forward. Last thing we need.

Probably not a huge deal.
But certainly not a nothing burger.
Maybe somewhere in the middle.

After this, we can probably dismiss the whole thing as a biiiig nothing; however, Randy needs to say something publicly to put everyone's minds at rest:

Good to see. I still stick to my opinion that he's being a baby. Couldn't agree more, man up and say something publicly.
I don't care if you're "private" or not. Basically, telling your teammate to go F himself. So, that's funny? Hmmmm
