The only complaint I have for today is this guy, why is he on the team instead of a real TE?

Agreed. Awful in preseason, awful in regular season. No idea how he made the cut.

Well now that the 1st game is over, they can sign a veteran and the whole years salary isn't guaranteed.

At least that's what I'm hoping was the wait.

I thought for sure this spot would be McGrath instead of Person. But that is speaking only as a fan with no claims of knowing what the coaches are seeing.

I think Person is the one true head scratcher. I mean, really...What do they see in this dude??

Maybe they are trying some sort of jumbo package. If so, it didn't work too well today

I'm in total agreement. I was shocked to see that they opted to keep him on the 53 over either Fells or Mcgrath. Doesn't make sense. The only time he ever stands out it's for the wrong reasons.

Not sure why this particular player is on our roster. Person is a joke.

Yeah, they were saying the Giants should sign a vet RB this week during the game tonight. So I guess it's part of the new CBA rules? Maybe he was the fall guy? :229031_shrug:

A few of the o-lineman were getting flat out mauled in the first half. Carp and Breno got owned.
I'd like to see Mike Rob come back as well, imagine the intensity w/him back in the mix. Shoot, he should carry out the 12th Man Flag. I'm not holding my breath, and I don't see it happening yet, but it would be a good move imo. Luckily, the O-Line actually stepped it up in the 4th quarter, when it truly matters.

I'm not defending anything here, just calling out the fact that Person's versatility is what earned him a roster spot, and I think the Michael Bowie shoulder injury helped too. He can play both OT spots, he's the emergency (#3) center, and he's a blocking TE in jumbo packages. I haven't been particularly impressed by his play or his penchant for penatlies, either, but I have to believe that his passable ability to wear many different hats has bought him time to this point.

I honestly didn't even notice him yesterday at all...

You didn't notice the two penalties early in the game on him for the same EXACT thing?
