Fair enough. To each his/her own.

Pete was given plenty of time to turn things around. Shouldn't coach Mike get the same consideration?

Did anyone get Macdonald's contract details? Is he on a 3 or a 5 years contract? Any guaranteed money? $ per year?

I really think not playing three galldarn games in 11 days will be a huge help.
And playing them while missing a big % of our top players on D made it even worse. We get all our guys back and keep them healthy and thing will turn our direction again, making MM look as good as we think he is.

This ^

He's not exactly working with all that he thought he would have. Look at the Detroit game. One of the best teams in the NFL and you're missing your TOP 4 D Lineman, then you lose your best safety? That's too much to ask of just about any coach.

I think MM will be fine, he just needs time to figure out who needs to stay/go plus 2 or 3 drafts to get his kind of players incorporated into his program.

100%. Pete Made playoffs his 1st yr due to a bad NFC West but you only control what you can. Then he won a playoff game upsetting the Saints. So, that would be a success.

Year 2 was 7-9.

Then year 3-5, PC went 42-14 with a SB win and 2 superbowl appearances.

To repeat what PC did during that period will be tough.

Yes, Mike should get 3 years to show what he can do. That is fair just like new players.

Depends on the ownership, Mora was given one year. Tomsula was one and done too. But Macdonald got himself a six year contract, so he will last for a few years no matter team W/L record.

Contracts are comfort zones for the coach to get paid, not his length of service if the team wants to cut bait.

I think it's the hard times that define a coaching staff. We are seeing right now who MM IS as a coach. How he handles this losing skid, how he keeps this team together, how he handles guys like Metcalf.

I think this team has talent and most of the teams woes are do to injury and learning a new system. Seahawk fans have no tolerance for losing period.

This season is going pretty much the way I expected it to go at the beginning of the season. I do think this team is for real I just think they have to work out they're sh!t. Pete Carroll was a master at this. Let's see who MM is.

Jim would of got more time if Pete wasn't suddenly available.
