Let’s take everything else out of it.

Coming after Pete Carroll a legendary coach who connected deeply with this fanbase was never going to be easy. Letting go took time. For me, not even the 10 win season right after Pete did it. I didn’t fully feel the emotion or see the vision yet.

That started to change after the Tampa Bay game. And in the weeks in between, I watched Mike Macdonald build this team getting better and better every week, growing into something dominant and special in a way I never saw coming.

Then came the speech after winning the NFC Championship.

“We didn’t care. It’s about us.”

No theatrics. Just resolve. That moment electrified the crowd and made everything click vision wise.

A Super Bowl win would cement him an Hawks legend and maybe finally put the ghosts of that Butler interception to rest. close the chapter on the Dynasty that never was. Redemption and new found Legacy all on the line.

If ( when) that happens, this could be the start of something absolutely amazing and I never saw it coming together this fast. But I’m sooo hear for it

Sometimes not only the team has to grow, but the fan needs to grow as well.

GO HAWKS!!

I was all in on Mike the minute we signed up. I started paying close attention to his D after he held us to 3.

Loved Pete but it was time. I appreciated all he did but didn’t feel any regret. We were in Steeler / Tomlin mode with Pete imo

I remember being kind of worried whether Pete was too smarmy to be one of my favorite Seahawks coaches when he was announced. I also remember being wondering over almost immediately. He was cutthroat about who was allowed to stay on the roster. He demanded full buy in, full effort and he established a high floor for performance by letting the guys who showed out in practice to get on the field. Things were tainted by 49. We all know it.
When we brought in MM I was immediately excited about his approach and results with the Baltimore defense. I felt like he could establish a new mentality here. I had concerns that he had never been a head coach at any level. When we made roster moves in the middle of the season last year, they worked. I began to get optimistic. Hearing him in the weekly Brock and Salk interviews stoked my confidence.
I still forced myself to be cautiously optimistic going into this year. As the season went on I realized that Mike MacDonald had all my confidence. I started searching out more Seahawks content. I began to realize that I was wearing some sort of Seahawks gear at all times. I started getting a little superstitious even though I know that if I could control the outcome, then we would have won 40 super bowls by now. I think this guy and his winning attitude is my favorite Seahawks thing of all time. I believe!!!! I could not be more grateful that Mike McDonald and John Schneider are leading this franchise into the future!!!!
