I’ve been tough on Macdonald since day one no hiding that. I questioned the vision, questioned the direction, and wondered if all the hype was just noise. Well… here I am eating crow.

He just became the first coach in franchise history to deliver back to back 10-win seasons in his fist Two seasons !! and he did it while building the exact defense he promised us from the jump. That’s not luck. That’s not “give it time.” That’s a clear blueprint coming to life in real time.

So yeah, I’ll own it I didn’t see the vision at first.
But I see it now — and it’s damn impressive.

Credit where it’s due
He has built a hell of a football team!!

MM is incredible!!

I’m thinking we have the best GM in the league as well. At the very least, he has the biggest pecker.

Welcome to the club JS…the Big Pecker Club.

I digress….Coach is the shit!!

P.S. It’s Macdonald. Hurry before they swarm.

He’ll be around for a long time. It’s nice not being a franchise that has to recycle coaches over and over again. Mora aside, going from Holmgren to Pete to Mike Mac all of which has brought us 2 decades of successful football (yes, we have been blessed as Hawk fans for this entire century thus far) is such a relief. Stability is the number one sign of a well run franchise. I am proud to be a fan of this team.

I loved the hire. He's been a brilliant defensive guy wherever he's gone. You could tell early on that he's been thinking how he would want to do it if/when he got the chance to be a HC.

For me a telling moment was when we went into the bye-week last season on a little losing streak. It could have gotten bad or meh there. But no. They came out of that bye-week with fire and commitment. He had the team's attention, their belief. They finished 10-7, missed the playoffs, but you could tell he was establishing a winning culture of his own kind, and players were responding to it.

I kind of like his thoughtful, understated style. It's a real contrast to PC's. We have a real thinker for a HC now.

Him and Ben Johnson were my 1A/1B from that cycle even though Ben stayed. What he did to the Seahawks in Baltimore as DC was insane and I hadn’t watched a defense like that since ours in 2015. They kicked the absolute piss out of them in all phases and especially at the LOS. He has built a phenomenal front and it’s only year 2 of developing/adding his guys. I genuinely think he is going to be the defensive McVay - year after year running a top 5 unit for a very long time.
