Yes, but it (point differential tiebreaker) is way down the list. It would have to be rare for the tie-break to reach down that far. However, consistently not putting the foot down until 0.00 isn't great... but isn't it valuable to give back-ups some experience in some games, and to possibly rest/protect the incumbent QB, etc, especially if they are carrying a worrying injury?
Haven't teams been accused OF running up the score, or is this a myth?
Completely different, FWIW, in Australian Rules footy, where percentage points (ratio for and against) is the first tie-breaker, and AFAIK it has never gone further than that. in fact, I have no idea even what other tie-breakers exist.
