The 49ers were playing with a limited QB and using an extremely paired down playbook. Mahomes is going to slay us, you can’t even compare the two offenses.

Personally I think the defense was still underwhelming. Shanahan went into a more conservative offense when he got a lead as well. Still some HUGE mental lapses by the defense.

I wouldn’t say solid but the run defense until that last run that closed out the game wasn’t as bad as it has been.

That’s pretty much the only defensive positive from tonight’s game, who everyone on here (maybe, really just, a lot of posters) expected a loss.

I hate the digit boys more the anyone, just felt like a lot of penalties that "kept the drive alive" happened in favour of the seahawks
We all watch enough games to know what that means

I said the same thing to my friend on the roughing call. Either Vegas or NY called the refs and said “easy does it boys,”. Still could be make up for getting creamed out of bounds.

Mahomes is undoubtedly elite, but I actually like our defense more against him than I do the 49ers, who were always going to continue the trend of being generally assertive against a weak and confused front 7.

I hate the defense overall. Hate them. But cautiously think this matchup looks better.

They had 170 rushing yards. Yeah it's an improvement over 200+ yards. A punch in the gut is also an improvement over a kick in the groin.
