Tomlin is old school. There is the mantra that you never lose your spot to injury. I believe RW was declared the starter at the beginning of the season and it is his to lose, but only through poor play.

I don’t personally agree with Tomlin’s decision, but expect to Fields to be back out there if the Steelers are ineffective offensively against the Jets,

Remember when Wilson came back too early and everyone said it was because Geno was playing well and Wilson didn't want him to upstage him, but my theory was that the lure of playing in prime time against Rodgers was too big a storyline for the glory hound to pass up? Here we are again. He was probably lobbying for this to be his debut from the beginning of his "injury."

Dude. I used to laugh at people who said he could actually play his way out of the hall, but I don't even know anymore. This is so cringe. WTF happened to him it doesn't even make sense. He can't even hit basic throws anymore. Is it all in his head???
