I had asked this question in another thread. Does anyone know if it would be considered a lateral move for Nagy to come here as an OC if he would get to call plays here (which he is not doing currently as the OC in KC)? I'd even take Schotty back over many of these names that are being thrown around.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think NFL rules consider it a lateral move still since he's the OC on paper. So, depending on his contract status, KC would have to allow it.

I doubt it too. But it COULD happen. Nothing it etched in stone, even if it's a longshot.
I agree it would be a lateral move. Dallas OC to Sandiego OC to Philly OC. I dont know if it could happen tho. I think it would be interesting to see him build a program maybe. Yes a decent quarterback with coaching aspirations. Kellen may be ok.

Outside of Peetz, i dont care to hear about any candidate who's only experience is passing game coordinator or qb coach, no matter how hot a candidate they are - not that anyone cares what i think.

I just think we need someone who has been there, is savvy and most importantly isnt a risk of flaming out in his first year on the job.
Out of curiosity, what about Peetz, his resume, makes him appealing?

Nothing in particular, other than the fact that he has been in-house for a year, working with Mac and that if in that time, they see him as a candidate, that it means something.

Fair enough. The one thing that caught my attention was MM mentioned somewhere that they've known each other for a while. I feel that's important to some degree.

On the other hand he was a part of the staff that got Grubb fired. Obviously not being behind closed doors I'm just going based on the assumption RG was removed for football reasons.

I should have added: everyone except Waldron. Of course we got the one bad apple. Wasn't even good enough to last with the Bears one full season. Pete was ready to run it back with him and Hurtt. 😂

Maybe Schneider can poach eggs
Schneider is unparalleled when it comes to building talented rosters as he’s collected a Lombardi from both Green Bay and Seattle from his sole acquisitions. He’s got more contacts league wide than other GM bar none…. I’d bet my left nut on it. We have the 3rd youngest roster in the league and a 10 win team that easily could’ve been a 12 win team if Myers makes 2 PAT’s. Your opinion about JS is unique as not many Hawk fans share your disdain. Mickey Loomis might have more contacts but his are dried up and fruitless

You can get any OC you want if your HC has a vision they believe in and get paid well. I don’t see a reason why an OC wouldn’t come here when you get to fix something and build over it. The opportunity is there and the philosophy of maximizing every possession and have opposing teams earn every down is anyone’s dream. Unless the OC is considered for a HC job some place else, every opportunity can be a great one. The value of a young HC who has shown that he can maximize talent on the defense but needs a partner on the offense sounds really tempting.

Kellen Moore will be a head coach before he takes another OC job anywhere. Plus does anyone have an example of successful coaches moving to a new team in the same previous position? People are acting like that happens I just can't remember seeing it.
