(raises hand) I was one of those guys. I didn't think we could get a 2nd for him (I thought 3rd) but there was a time (seems so long ago) I did think he was going to be our franchise QB. Seriously.

I might as well get this all out.....I was also one that thought Pete screwed Flynn and gifted the 1 spot to his draft pick, RW.

Knowing Green Bay to be the greatest evaluators of QBs in league history, I fell for the hype despite Flynn's small sample size.

Have him compete with Manuel for the starting job when he gets healthy. Manuel will instantly turn into an all-pro QB.

Not much of a stretch. For a rookie QB Manuel was already playing at a very high level. Flynn will never have a shot at winning a starting gig again.

Manuel their first round pick and was playing well enough. Flynn will continue to be the back-up QB. There are other back-up QB's that I personally feel would be a better starter than Flynn just to top off the mug.

I'm still curious to see him start a stretch of six or so games. I was never on the bandwagon, but I was never against him, either. Strong indicators point towards the "against" crowd being correct, but I'm still curious to see; though at this point, it'll likely never happen.

I'm with Roland from a curiosity standpoint but agree he's probably out of shots. I'd also like to see the final standings from a bizarro alternative universe in which the 2012 Hawks started Flynn, to see how they did (prediction: slightly worse than 2011...)
