Sounds like it's not a bad move at all, but we'll just have to wait and see how he does in Mariner duds:

I don't hate the move. He's got some positional flexibility, and he's a decent hitter. But he'll be 35 next year.

Kind of like it. I've been screaming to pick up a couple of guys who can hit for average. Looks like mainly a bench player, or maybe a DH. Looks like the kind of depth we need.

The way I look at the Refsnyder signing is this. Celling is Dmo and basement is Solano. I have to keep telling myself this this is just a small step towards a bigger move Ie a trade that ships Luke Raley out.

Refsnyder is purely a Platoon with Canzone. He can hit lefties, Canzone can hit righties (Except in the Playoffs). Refsnyder has never had higher than 275 AB's a year in his 10 year career.
Bring on Bo! We need another stick. More OBP than HR's. Lets goooo Jerry and Justin.

Bo would be a hell of a fit here, imo.
Yes he would, which is why it won't happen. If they don't intend on trading their upcoming top prospects whom will be here soon, they don't intend to block them either. Bo would be great, but won't happen unfortunately.
