Can someone explain to me in plain English why Cal is batting 2nd in the order, with the 9th hitter and leadoff hitter in front him as you work through the order? You want high OBP guys batting in front of your all-star RBI guy, don't you?

There are things that DW does that I just don't get.

It's supposed to be Julio but he's sucked at the 2 spot all year. You could go Naylor at 2. Idk. If theyre playing on the road it doesn't really matter right now anyway.

Silly me for thinking that Naylor should be hitting in front of him. Right now I think it should be JP, Naylor, Cal, Julio, Geno/Canzone...or something like that, something that, to me, makes a little more sense. It may not have made a difference this trip, but you want your players to think you know what you're doing.

Strikeouts……that should tell you something.

Tonight's starter is one of the best in baseball. Came in with a 2.45 ERA

True, but they will get some guys back. And as much as we hate them, they actually get it done, year after year.

Let's hope Ms are out for blood today. From top to bottom, manager Dan to the Moose, the mentality needs to be: every single frickin' win we can get here on out if they hope to continue playing when October rolls around. There is no excuse for letting a game slip away due to a moment of passivity. Play your 162 games like your season is only 30 games long.

So sick of that mentality. And yes, I'm very guilty of it too. Always looking to see how the other teams are doing.
Ironically, when we were winning 8 in a row, I didn't bother looking at other teams, other than the ASStros

I know I got some crap about not wanting Williamson to be sent down, but the way Suarez is hitting, I stick to that opinion. I love the guy, but good vibes don't take away the strikeouts, which he is very good at.
I was happy about the trade, but for the most part, all Suarez does is strike out, over and over again. Williamson could do better on Defense AND at the plate at this point. Barring a big turnaround, that trade has been a big zilch.

Geno just had 3 hits and 2 RBI'S yesterday, and he has at least 1 hit in 6 of our last 7 games.

I agree that he's been mostly disappointing since he's been back, but it's looked like he might be getting back on track over the past week or so.

Also, yeah, Geno strikes out a lot, but Cal strikes out even more than Geno does. Yet for some reason people like to complain about Geno's K's, but I'm not sure I've seen a single complaint about how how much Cal K's. Wonder why that is? Seems like selective criticism to me.
