We wont see Sloan, Anderson, etc until we've destroyed the rest of the team

Even if we do see Sloan and Anderson while this current team is still largely intact, so what? They won't make much difference even if they're the studs everyone thinks they are. Statistically, we already have a top 5 pitching staff. The problem isn't the pitching. It's the hitting. This team can't hit and they can't score runs. Adding more good pitching isn't going to change that.

We've been doing this for years now. Trying to make it work with overall really good pitching and really bad hitting. It doesn't work and it's not going to work. You can't win games if you can't score runs, no matter how good your pitching is.

And before anyone brings up last year, it was going much the same as every other season until they got red hot and went on a once in a decade 18-1 stretch in September. While that was awesome and super fun to watch, that's not very likely to happen again. If the formula of really good pitching paired with really bad hitting is reliant on a once in a decade type of run in September to be successful, it's not a formula that is ever going to produce sustained success.
