Hi, MRob this is Beastmode. I don't care what you want but I'll pay it out of my own pocket.

Looked evident today that Lynch needs a good FB to block for him

I'll wait until someone does a DVR review but I can't imagine we had a FB out there for more than a handful of plays. I think they were moving away from that style of offense. I like Coleman more as a receiver.

Coleman was also a much bigger weapon out of the backfield for Wilson as well, particularly on the 4th quarter drive that started deep in our own territory.

Incorrect, Coleman was very good.

The problem is the O line.

Saw Coleman catch well but did not notice any good blocks.

Love Coleman coming out of the backfield. I think that the Panthers front 7 is going to have a very good year.

It's something worth looking at and thinking about. Coleman made a couple plays as a receiver (foolishly ran out-of-bounds on one), but remember M-Rob contributed as a lead blocker for Lynch and also in pass protection. Run blocking and pass protection were awful today.

I can't imagine too many offensive lines in the NFL consistently beating Carolina, and surprise surprise, that was where our problem was in this game. The issues in protection and running the ball were NOT due to the fullback play or the absence of Michael Robinson. Watch it again, and look at the penetration their defensive line was continually getting almost all game long.

Now go back and watch the O line. They were horse shit today.

Get off Coleman.

Agreed. Coleman played great. The Carolina front line is pretty stout and the hawks o'line didn't help in pass protection much.

Panthers have one of the best D lines in football.... week 1... 10 AM... WE WON.... sooooo....

But I do think not having MRob will have a negative impact on Shawn's rushing abilities.

I thought Coleman was solid. He was the least of the problems today with the running game. As underwhelming as the O-line was, they were playing a very solid D-Line today on the road. They should play better at home next week, if not then i'll be worried.

Incorrect, a very good Panthers D-Line was the real problem.

It's all on the OL. Come on man. It's brutally obvious to even Football X&0 simpletons like me.

Coleman had some pretty good blocks, everyone seems to missing that lynch didn't make the best decisions either... there were a lot of unneeded hesitations and cut backs when he should have hit the hole.

I thought Coleman was fine. I thought the o-line, given how excellent the Panther's d-line is, did fine too. Especially considering very limited playing time for the configurations that were out on the field. How many snaps did Carpenter get preseason with the other four guys? Zero? Maybe a quarter max?
