How is this even still an argument? I realize Russell is surrounded by a slightly better team and has one of the best backs in the game lined up behind him but, if you check the stats over the last two years Wilson is blowing Luck out of the water. Yet every broadcaster continues to say they'd take Luck over Wilson any day of the week. What the shit?!

.............LUCK.......WILSON..............

PASSING
GP >........ 29 ......... 29
YDS >...... 7,493 .... 5,989
CMP% >... 56.0 ...... 64.3
AVG >...... 6.87 ...... 8.28
TD >........ 42 ........ 49
INT >....... 26 ........ 17
FUM >...... 14 ........ 10
RAT >...... 80.3 ...... 103.0

DYAR > .... 729 ....... 1654
DVOA'12 > -5.1% .... 19.7%
DVOA'13 > 2.8% ..... 22.7%

RUSHING
ATT >...... 112 ....... 175
YDS >...... 591 ....... 947
AVG >...... 5.3 ........ 5.4
TD >........ 9 .......... 5

Is it because Luck was the 1st overall pick? Or because Wilson plays for the deep south Canadian team? Or because broadcasters were known to eat paint chips as kids? Why the bias?

Because Luck was suppose to be the LeBron James for the NFL, that once in a lifetime talent that was going to change a teams fortunes.

First off I think Luck is a very good QB. This may be this decades Manning vs Brady. Wilson has out performed all of the young guns and the stigma of size still haunts him. When he brings home a big trophy this year it will be hard to ignore.

You wonder how Wilson would of been with Reggie Wayne to throw to?

Maybe they want the trophy wife and not the mother of their children? Who knows why but they do. I just take the solid woman who has helped me over the years versus the hottie that would dump me once the fascination dies.

This is an endless argument that will rage for awhile.

This isn't a fair comparison! Luck's O-line has been injured and he lost his #1 receiver!

Because Wilson's defense helps him throw accurately and pick apart defenses....at least that's what I always hear.

Let me see, Wilson played without three OL starters for much of the season and Sidney rice is out. That evens the field in my book. We have no receiver of Wayne's caliber either.

Yep nobody considerd Wilson overcoming the loss of a pro bowl LT Okung for half the season, a PB center Unger for about 5 games, an aggressive yet solid RT Giacomini for about 5 games, the 2nd string TE McCoy who had a great year last year, a PB TE Miller for 2 games, and his#1 Wr Rice for the rest of the season. Wilson has overcame about as much as Brady had to this year losing Welker to FA, Hernandez to jail, and Gronk injury. Difference is Brady is have one of his worst years.

I'm (thankfully) not hearing a lot of this talk as of late and I'm not seeing anything resembling disrespect for RW. I could be wrong, but I feel like they've given him, and subsequently us, a ton of respect this year...and I'm grateful for the coverage.

Maybe the old adage "respect is earned" best pertains. Forever we complained that the media dissed us and treated us like we were foreigners, but really, with few exceptions, we've not done a hella lot to deserve such respect. Now we have and it seems to be coming. Go Hawks.

Not just Wayne but in a passing offense, unlike the one he is in now.

Ahh and Rw has played without his o-lien much of the year, as well as not just his #1 but his #2, and the offense is not a passing offense so your point is moot. It is a very fair comparison, one Rw is winning easily.

:sarcasm_on: I love RW and he has had a great season, but if you want to project their careers forward, it is clear ... Andrew Luck is the man. Before it is said and done, Andrew Luck will be better than Payton Manning.

What I'm really trying to say is ... Wilson has been lucky so far. He plays for a better Organization. Luck has had to earn everything. You can't really compare the Indy Organization and Paul Allen who is one of the wealthiest man in the world.

OK. nevermind ... but, what I really mean is ... If it wasn't for Marshall Lynch, RW wouldn't have had so many wins...

Oh ... oh ... It is all about the wide receivers. Andrew Luck lost his most consistent Wide Receiver, while Russell Wilson's receivers are some of the best in the NFL ... I'm sure the whole league knows Kearse, Lockette, ... Those guys are just sooo good. :sarcasm_off:
