Totally agree 400watter (why not go with the 600s?

)
I actually knew you were referring to Carpenter, but took the opportunity to get a jab in on Cable. I also agree with your mad scientist suggestion. These guys with their "Oh, just watch, I have a plan" approaches to the position are maddening. It's really not that difficult of a process in evaluating linemen...especially when there's not a bazillion of them available.
Last year I got so damn tired of watching Lynch get pounded. Then, after drafting Michael, I realized Pete and JS understood the life that was being sucked out of him as well. I understand ML's contract played a big role in that pick, too, but replacing him because our line lets him get slammed, doesn't seem very sporting to me. That aside, do we think Michael is going to last very long behind this crap? No more shenanigans and wild ideas when it comes to the line...we need it fixed asap. It's going to get us eliminated from the play-offs, mark my words. And if they get RW hurt, the play offs will be the last of our concerns.
I love Pete and what he's done for our Hawks. But we will only be able to blame Cable, and the line, for so long before that blame has to be placed on Pete. Not much different than Sark and Holt, IMO. Holt sucked, but Sark enabled him.
