I also don't think it's a coincidence that a report comes out recently that Jody is involved and not happy about problems that go back beyond this year, and then on the heels of that, Russ talk about who he'd wave his trade clause for.

Bingo.

Good point. It's called stirring the pot, seeding unrest into the bossum of management (quite literally in our case).

Meh, I'm just ready to watch a great game on Sunday. We heard he was gone the previous two off season's.
It feels about 50/50 right now. NONE of us actually know. No need to worry about it right now. Just more clickbait

Good point, justafan. That "Russ threw his team under the bus" argument is so tired. And not really accurate at all. It's all in how you look at it. Was he frustrated? Absolutely. And?

I get what you're saying. But if it was just a general comment, there also wouldn't have been the deliberate effort to walk it back, nor reports that his o-line was upset about it.

It might be lost on the fan that sacks are also attributable to the choices a qb makes on a given play but it's bot lost on offensive lineman. They know exactly how many times russ scrambled when he didn't have too for whatever reason and they know how many sacks were on them vs on Russ.

Yeah, he smoothed his remark over with 'I have to get better too', but you could argue that he should have started there, like a good leader does, and not go first to his teammates. Particularly when he contributes greatly to his own issues.

Is it possible to have a "great game" that features a 4-8 team vs. a 2-10 team? Sounds more like a debate over whose stepsister is uglier.

Geez man, I'm just looking forward to seeing my team play. I'm fully aware that they are bad this year and the Texans suck. Doesn't mean it won't be a good game. Watch how you want :irishdrinkers:
And there have been plenty of good games between crap teams over the years. It happens.

So now Russ isn't a good leader Keasley? He voiced his concerns, he also said he needs to play better. No different than what any other QB would say. And he's not wrong at all. Shoot, if you want to really look at guys who call out their team? Rodgers, year after year. Nobody seems to care. Manning said "let's just say we had protection problems tonight" and he was applauded for it.

Winning the SB? Lol, we're 4-8.

All Russell's thinking about now is continuing to get healthy and play better and better so he can maximize his leverage come January or February.

This is just the beginning of this nonsense.

If Jamal Adams is worth two firsts and a third ( :sarcasm_on: ) we better be able to absolutely fleece someone for Russ.

Hey, maybe we can trade him to the Seahawks

Yeah, sometimes talking to people with that kind of optimism makes me feel like I did when I told my kids that there isn't a Santa Claus.

Tell that to the 7-8 Seahawks in 2010 when they advanced to the second round of the playoffs when EVERYBODY thought they were one and done... it's true weird things happen in Seattle with Pete Carroll..

just for the record, Santa Clause was real

edit: My grandfather taught me at an early age that you can do anything you want in this world as long as you believe you can do it and you do what is necessary to achieve it. and I have found him to be correct.

Apologies if this was already posted but FWIW Jake Heaps calls BS on the report, and he and Russ are close friends.

Schultz is not your high level agent whore like King or Schefter, but he is in the industry and has broken a lot of stories.

So if he says "source" then he didn't just make it up.

Did he get this info from Russell or his agent directly? No, but he knows enough people within Russ's camp to make the statement.

Interesting. Thanks for the link.

I'm not going to sit here and pick sides, say that this person or that person is lying. People tend to line up behind the story or source that most closely fits their pre-determined narrative. All I'll say is that where there's smoke, there's usually a fire someplace.

It's going to be an interesting offseason.

The problem is, is the supposed fire real or media contrived. Is it based on something recent or based on the last offseason? I do believe for 1 minute anything has been said by the Wilson team, not in the middle of the season. I believe this is a retread of the news from the last offseason.

What makes me believe even more that this is a retread or BS is no sources are named. Meanwhile, we have a name saying it's BS from someone who would be in the know.

This isn't the 'middle of the season', at least not as it relates to us. We are one game away from being eliminated from the playoffs, so for all intents and purposes, it's damn near the end of our season.

Secondly, as another poster noted, this comes on the heals of another rumor, that Jody Allen is thinking about some offseason changes.

Its stuff like this that starts happening to teams like ours in similar predicaments. The rumors about Brady leaving the Pats started a long time before it happened, and I am sure that there were a lot of Pats fans that were saying that the same thing that many in here are saying, that it's just rumors with no foundation.

I don't know how much truth, if any, there is in this particular rumor. But sometimes this stuff starts to take on a life of its own, eventually becoming a self fulfilling prophecy.
