Great game -- and a great year. He really stepped up his game, lived up to all the high expectations.

But do we re-sign him now? He's going to want a big bag of money, and we don't really have a solid #2 to move into his slot.

What's the tag cost this year? Nowadays we can still negotiate even under the tag.

About midway through the season, I was for not resigning him, but he's had a whale of a season capped off by an MVP performance in the SB. Besides, at this point, you pretty much have to re-sign him if for nothing else because of the PR fallout if we were to let him walk, being that he was named SB MVP.

Plus, now with Charbs status up in the air, it makes a lot more sense to re-sign him.

His run style is kind of perfect for defensive slugfests. It's pretty much a straight up trade of losing those 2-4 yard gains for more 0-1 yarders and occasional big runs that can lead to points. Hope we re-sign him but don't break the bank. He still needs to split carries to avoid injury. Let him be the feature back come playoff time.

Haven't heard anything on Charbs, but it seems likely he'll start camp on PUP and maybe into the season.

Signing K9 seems like a priority to me. Would hate to use a high pick on another RB. I wonder how McIntosh is doing. He looked kind of exciting when he first showed up.

I hope we sign him.

From what I read he's looking at 8-10 mill per year.

I saw somewhere the tag for RB was around $11 million
I would definitely do that. They can renegotiate now while tagged, unlike in the old Walter Jones days.

Edit: If necessary, of course. Would rather have a deal in place.
