Chris is manager of a couple of Chicago sports bars and are wanting to be come Seahawks central in Chicago. Pay attention to what he says, he has some pretty good ideas and plans.

:th2thumbs:

Here are some of his ideas.

Les, thank your very much, I really look forward to being apart of the community. I am an avid sports fan who has lived in Illinois my whole life. Our bars are located in the heart of Wrigleyville just steps away from the Home of the Chicago Cubs. Clark street where we are located is known for once baseball season is over the football teams move in. Every Saturday (college we are a Wisconsin Badgers bar) and Sunday (pro). Of course their are occasion Thurs and Mon games. I am really excited to add the Seahawks and their fans to the festivities.
Just to give you additional information. As I stated before I want to give the ultimate fan experience to everyone coming out. I however really only know so much about Seahawk traditions. I have done this before with the Chicago Broncos Nation at my previous job and I go all out. Special menus and pricing. I make T-shirts for staff and fans, we do giveaways ect ect. I would welcome any and all feedback and may make a post asking for information (if ok with moderators) to make this Seahawk experience second to just CenturyLink field. An oasis for Seahawk fans whether they are just in Chicago for the weekend, transplants moved from elsewhere or a local who just liked Curt Warner back in the day.
Thanks again Christopher Wood

Pretty cool. I gotta wonder, if he's not a native/never lived here, why the Seahawks. Just curious.

I'll watch for such postings... Chicago, Chicago, it's my kind of town... Trish and I have been to a sports bar there and loved it.. Very accommodating and made sure they put the Seahawks game on for us...

I think its because we are one of the current picks this season. Plus they get more people in the building they do more business.

Pretty sure its not because of that game last fall. lol

Here's some further conversations.

I have heard about the "12th" man and it Sounds Absolutely Awesome!!! Just as unique as CenturyLink is I want the experience here in Chicago. As a person who lives close enough to Wrigley to hear cheers seconds before the TV delays plays it I can truly appreciate the ferocity of the crowd noise. Looks like any Seahawk visit this year to Chicago will have to be in the playoffs. That's only if they do not have Home Field advantage through those play-offs!! Thanks again. Christopher Wood

BTW you have perhaps heard the talk that this is the loudest stadium in the NFL country and I thinks its true. We are trying to break the record for the loudest fan base in sports in September.

Seahawks stadium is open but designed to funnel crowd noise back down onto the field. I live on the other side of the state but have attended lots of games and can tell you noise isn't heard over here, its felt throughout your body. There have been some commets from other teams suggesting the Seahawks are piping in noise but the NFL has invistigated several times and say it isn't so.

Many of the mainline announcers that have been here including our esteemed Mr Buck and his barely adaquate QB from Dallas agree this is the loudest place they've ever been.

ok, enough blowharding.

I think if the Browns became a "hot" team (stop laughing), they would switch the bar over to that
in a heartbeat. It is all about butts in the seats and dollars in the register and they know they can't
compete by opening yet another Bears bar in Chicagoland.

That's nice...I might have to make a trip out there. Have always wanted to go, and now I have another reason. Any reason to make a Seahawks-themed bar is all right by me, no matter how temporary.

Cool!

My girlfriend travels to Chicago for work every 2-3 months and I get to tag along for free. Nice perk from her job.

Yeah, that's what I was curious about. Has our team finally arrived to where we're getting more of a national fan base and more casual fans ?

Don't get me wrong, I really could care less...but if we end up being an upper echelon team with a strong national fan base, I can see SupberBowl XL never happening to us again at that point. I'm over it and I moved on, but I would probably have a stroke if we ended up playing the Patriots and got hosed again.

Let me know which bar they end up choosing, would love a place I can watch Seahawks games here in Chicago with other fans. The fact that it is a Badger bar on Saturday's makes some sense that it would go Seahawks games on Sunday with Russell Wilson leading the way. As a fan of both, I may end up living at this bar.

Well I'll bump this up one more time. I thought this guy would have shown up by now.

Hope we hear from him.
