Note to self... make NFL roster so that you can afford Lasik.

You would think this woulda came up at some point, him being a receiver and all. I was always impressed with him, despite his natural affliction of being a Husky, and his ability to consistently get open and he had some decent hops. I didn't watch a lot of him though, so I didn't know how awful his dropsies were. The word dropsies just brought me back to Darrell Jackson and Koren Robinson and those seasons where our receivers couldn't catch an STD if they were trapped in a phone booth with Pamela Anderson. Then Kearse dropped a gimme against Minnesota (I think? Note to self... don't drink as much during games this season haha) this past season and I immediately knew what Huskies fans everywhere had already known. That the Huskies choked at Martin Stadium last year. And that Kearse' concentration is not his strong suit.

I love how he probably knows that his spot on the roster is nowhere near safe and that he needs every possible advantage that he can get to help secure the #5-6 spot. Hopefully Chop Chop steps up and works on those hands or else he'll be on the chopping block for sure.

Well, he is a valuable ST player, and as we have seen with Obo for years, there is a spot for a swiss army knife ST/WR hybrid on this team.

He'll still be trash.

Throwdown, always keepin it real.

In all honesty though, I hope one of Stephen Williams, Justin Veltung, or Phil Bates steps up and wins the final spot. I liked Matt Austin too but dunno what happened there.

Coug, maybe Austin couldn't handle the frustration of going up against LOB.

I can definitely relate. I used to play baseball & there were times (although they were few & far between) where my contacts blurred up so bad that if the ball were hit to me I may not have even seen it.

I think it could go a long way to fixing his hands. Makes a ton of sense to me. My eyes started going bad as a teenager. I went from a consistent outside jumper to being frustrated. I hate playing with contacts on and can't handle playing with glasses on. I don't play hardly at all any more. I can't afford Lasiks right now, but I definitely want to get it done some time.

At least we'll get to see how he does with it and make an educated decision whether to keep him or not.

Which is where Greg Herd comes in. Chop Chop might get chopped.

Who was it, I think Jefferson in San Diego playing with Fouts, they found he had vision problems and he started wearing the famous goggles, turned him into the best receiver in the league for a few years. Not saying Kearse will be that, but it could make a world of difference if it helps him either pick up the ball or be able to see it as it transistions from his vison to his blur zone.

I had lasik and I can honestly say that my vision is way better.

Catching footballs is hand-eye coordination and this definitely should help him at least see the ball into his hands. It's up to the hands after that, and if he has Darryl Turner hands, he, and we, are hosed.

Willing to give him the benefit of doubt.

I believe that barring a surprise the last wr spot is going to go to somebody that can return kicks.

ALl the best to Kearse, but he has an uphill battle to make the team.
