Karlaftis may end up being best DE in the draft

I know the press on top DE’s has been for Hutch, Thib, Walker etc… but IMO Karlaftis very well could end up as the best pro. He’s big, pretty fast and relentless. Makes a lot of plays and to me best value pick of them all in the first round. I wouldn’t be upset if Hawks traded back a little and took him although a DT, OL or DB is a little more pressing.

You could be right. I like, for our defense, Karlaftis better than Thibodeaux, Jermaine Johnson, and Boye Mafe.

I like him a lot - hands, strength, motor,really good snap reaction.

I also like that he's a younger prospect - just turned 21; as opposed to some of the other edge prospects who are on the older side - Johnson, Mafe, Ebeketie (I like those players, just not the age)
