Want an example of that?
Ray McDonald again.
I've maintained from the very beginning that I don't know he if he did it or not and if he did I want him gone. Period. That's it. I just want to see him charged and see the police report. (which have both not happened)
I have an opinion on his guilt which I've said many times has no evidence other than it would explain the 49ers actions. Its a guess and I've never maintained it was any more than that.
The majority of this forum though has already made up their minds that he's guilty, he should fry, the 49ers and SC DA are corrupt and shoving it under the rug, and that the victim and 100+ people there will all fall in line and lie about it to get the player off. He was arrested, therefore he's guilty.
Just take a step back for a second, remove team allegiances and tell me which one of those two things is spinning?
It seems Marvin has spun so far out of control with his delusions that he is now totally incapable of identifying them.
You have an "opinion" that Ray McDonald did not commit domestic violence against his pregnant girlfriend
because it would explain the 49ers actions.
You
assume the 49ers can do no wrong because you are a fan. Therefore, if the 49ers decide to play McDonald, rather than deactivate him as Minnesota has done with Adrian Peterson, it means McDonald is innocent of this crime.
Can you comprehend how breathtakingly circular your reasoning is?
What if the 49ers are merely hiding behind due process so that McDonald can play out the entire season without penalty? They're doing the exact same thing with Chris Culliver. They also played Aldon Smith days after he smashed his car into a tree with a BAC that was twice the legal limit. There is a pattern here, and it has nothing to do with player innocence.
To date, there has been no evidence that would tend to show McDonald is innocent. The players who were there have said they didn't see anything, but of course that doesn't mean it didn't happen. We have a report indicating McDonad's fiancee told police that McDonald hit her and tried to physically pull her from the house at 2 AM. We also have the physical indicia of violence in the form of visible bruising on the alleged victim's neck and arms.
No one is saying McDonald has been proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. What we are saying is employers should suspend employees with pay pending the results of an investigation into domestic violence out of respect for the alleged victim and women everywhere. The Vikings have done that with Peterson, sending a message that they will not play someone accused of child abuse.
Meanwhile, the 49ers' own moral compass has failed them miserably as they continually disrespect victims of domestic violence by playing McDonald. Steve Young has said this is the wrong thing to do. Politicians like Gavin Newsome and Nancy Pelosi, who are 49er fans, have each encouraged the 49ers to deactivate McDonald pending the results of this investigation.
Yet Harbaugh, Baalke, the York family, and the entire 49ers organization have kept their heads planted firmly in the ground, like the proverbial ostrich, waiting for the season to play out so they can benefit from their intentional ignorance under the guise of submitting to "due process."
