On Twitter: "You Suck!"

In Person: "Can I please have your autograph??"

Social media is so stupid anymore.

Agreed, not sure what to make of this thread. I am more disgusted by these people writing to him, than I am of his desire to catalog them.

He should just ignore it instead of retweeting everything. I think it kind of shows he's letting it get to him. But at the same time, he's also showing how ridiculous these "fans" can be. Love you one minute-hate you the next. Either that or they're just racist

His etiquette w/ the opposing team's media in conference calls hasn't improved either...

http://blog.sfgate.com/49ers/2013/09/24 ... uis-media/

Now compare with Russell last December talking to San Fran media.

I understand that it's probably not fun for him but wow, what a poop head. Yeah, I said poop head...

Edit: Kay-per-nick's conf call with STL media may as well have been a recording of that with the SEA media. Though I think he may have used more words for STL.

When the owners meet this off season, one of the first things they should do (after voting to find suitable replacement refs), is vote to ban twitter accounts. Yes, I understand this would violate at least one amendment, but if you're paying a guy 10 mil a year, to me, he's no longer a mere citizen. He's property of the team. The majority of these guys should never be allowed to put anything in print. They are too reckless, often times dumb, and some must spend as much time apologizing as they do practicing. Frequently, it's also a huge black eye to the NCAA. Read some of Harvins tweets. It appears he didn't spend much time studying while at U Florida.

Then you have the idiots of the NBA. Immediately following the Travon Martin death. Wade and a few other uninformed morons, like our president, immediately decided Zimmerman was a murderer; "How could such a thing happen to this sweet, innocent child"? "Well, it was only because he was wearing a hoodie, let's all wear hoodies" in support of this punk. They created such an uproar, that it was astonishing Zimmerman ever got a fair trial. Now, I don't care what your beliefs are in that case, the point remains the same. Athletes have a huge influence on the masses and thus capable of creating mass hysteria. They should not wield such power, IMO.

Very interesting... Kaep supposedly feeds off negativity, yet is playing like ass. All the while, Russell avoids the noise and wins. Coincidence? I think not.

I bet Kaep believed the positive press he had all summer and slacked off with his preparation too. He cares WAY TOO MUCH about what others think of him.

I think this goes a little too far. If this were to happen what if it were to cause a domino effect into your job

I'm sure you have a good point, Axx. But it would help (me) if you gave an example. I was just sorta' winging it. I doubt anything as such would happen, just suggesting. I am currently back and forth with my friend Roland regarding Griffin, so I will use that as example. Not just twitter, but media in general, players, like Griffin, are throwing around (basically) confidential team information that more times than not, will not end well. Players need to stop talking about team affairs publicly. They are not qualified.

It would be like me going to the press and saying I think my employer should stop putting toys in our happy meals. I just won't do it. ; )
