0.37 ERA in five starts is borderline obscene.
Lets get them going all at once.. I hope. Add Sloan into that mix as well. Trade for Relief pitching (Castillo, .... maybe Miller? He can't seem to stay healthy at the start?)That kid is just ridiculous.
Young, Hancock, Kade, Colt...what a window we have opening up for us.
He's a starter. You want a 7 man rotation?Would it be stupid if I suggested the Mariners call him up next month and have him be the closer?
I mean is Castillo ever going to pitch another full game this year? He’s been doing split games with miller. So technically we are still at five hehHe's a starter. You want a 7 man rotation?![]()
You already know the answer if you have to ask for confirmation.Would it be stupid if I suggested the Mariners call him up next month and have him be the closer?
Castillo's contract is what is detrimental for trade purposes. Unless the Mariners decide to eat some of his contract, most likely he isn't going to get much interest. Plus with Jerry running things, I'm not confident they would get any decent players for him. Probably get a Jared Kelenic type of player.Castillo IS all but gone. Probably only going to fetch a rental position player or prospects. But wait, what if they keep him and trade another starter? Wouldn’t shock me.
It would not shock me to see Logan get traded for a package. He has plenty of value and only one year left before he hits free agency. He will get big bucks! Why would they move an Ace, because they need room and have Cade Anderson and Ryan Sloan not far off.
A team getting a year and a half of Logan should send something big back to Seattle. This team needs a position player upgrade. Too many part-time platoon players.
Maybe Castillo is the more logical player to trade, but his contract and recent struggles impact a potential return. He needs 2 or 3 more solid outings to appeal to pitcher needy teams.
Agreed. Mariners brass does well identifying pitchers but position players are a different story. Too many one trick ponies.Castillo's contract is what is detrimental for trade purposes.
