What do you expect of him after ONE start Az? Perfection? FFS, the whining on this board is impressive sometimes  🤘

I think they're going to baby him and then bring him up later in the year if we have any injuries or anything. We saw Toronto do it last year with their stud rookie and he was lights out in the playoffs.

They also have Sloan who might be better. He was throwing 100 and he's only 20 I think? Read on X another scout say he thinks Sloan is the best RHP prospect in all of baseball.

Crazy how much riches this team has. Set to be very good for a very long time. Stoked.

Many of their players have left for the WBC too.

Yes. It's been hitting me the last few days that I'm officially more excited/hopeful about the Ms than I have ever been. See my post in Ryan Sloan thread. Seems we'll be fielding a hell of a team this season.

And they seem poised to be good for a long while now. Truly a WS contender, imo.

Both Anderson and Hancock probably get some starts this year to eat up some innings

I truly hope they bring him up in 27. Give him a year to build up his strength and polish his craft. Then bring him up in 27 win the ROTY and get us another 1st round pick. We need to continue to draft top end talent if possible.

If I'm the Mariners I would find a way to trade Castillo and get Anderson up as the 5th. This kid has the stuff and no point in making him wait a year when there will be a lock out in 2027 (unless they want an extra year of control)

As much as I'm a fan of the rock, I could rock with this scenario.

I could see us trading El Pietro at the deadline, not before. There are reasons not many kids that young make the big show that fast.

Do you remember Kerry Wood?
I had a front row seat to seeing him, they let you know when they're
ready, it's obvious to the coaching staff that watches them up close.
Kerry turned 20 just before in his debut, Kade has college years behind him
so, he's been prepped more than Kid K was.

Anyone wonders who Kerry Wood was, watch a few pitches (I still get chills)

How long has it been since we had a stud left handed starter?
