Who knows why he couldn't make it, or if he just didn't want to go. Honestly if I were getting a Superbowl ring and have a chance to see some of the guys I won it with, it would be hard to miss that celebration. But it is what it is the Hawks cannot keep every good player and every good player dosent want to stay. K9 obviously felt like he was more important than he was given credit for. I love K9 but I dont see him staying healthy all year as the number one back. But I think if he wanted to show he was the bigger player, than maybe not go to a team that has Mahomes. He should do well with KC because that team will be in the conversation of Superbowl contenders with or without K9.

Why would anyone want to come back to a company that clearly didn't want him and then showed him the way to the exit. Personally, I'd have been pretty sad about it. He's got a SB MVP and a SB ring. Don't understand why there is so many butt hurt members here. There's just nothing about him to dislike,

Bro, just look at Tariq Woolen, his situation was similar but 10x worst because he didnt get any heroics (quite the opposite letting the Rams back in on stupid penalty and then giving up the TD on the next play, and then being the one to ruin the shutout in the SB). The team likely didn’t even talk to his agents to try to bring him back and that alone probably threw up so many red flags to other gms, derailed his market, and he had to settle for a 1 year prove deal with the Eagles.

And Woolen still came back despite having the longest flight and not only that of all the FA that moved on Dareke Young and Kenneth Walker literally had the shortest flights.

Sure Walker’s new team can take priority but still its kind of punch in the face to all the people that sacrificed and put their bodies on the line for him, the people that he bled and sweat with as brothers, the people that despite what he might feel gave him a hell of an opportunity. He could have went to a worse off team and be nobody. He could have gotten 2/3rds of the work load and got injured and missed the playoffs, and not gotten paid. Its a punch to the face to his fanbase especially the ones that bought his jersey and spent their own time idolizing or defending him every step of the way.

I get that he’s shy, quiet, and introverted but still theres really no excuse other than he could not care any less about any of it. And thats cool and thats his own decision, doesn’t mean we cant talk about it, especially when he missed out such a great presentation and perhaps a once in a lifetime celebration that he might regret one day.

This right here
Would have been great to see him there, but he doesn't owe us anything. He busted his ass, filled his role admirably at a cap hold well below the value he brought, and never caused any problems for anyone. I'm glad to see that, for the most part, fans aren't acting petty. I hope he kills it this year, and his team is awful in spite of it.

I think this tied with his comments about being disrespected is why people think he got a little big for his britches. Especially considering how much they bent over backwards to try and keep him healthy.

We're talking about a ring ceremony, right?

LOL.. you are really comparing the mentally challenged Riq to Walker..
@SoulfishHawk I think he was talking about Riq being a tool.

Aaaaaah, my bad. If that's the case, 100 percent accurate. Reek def. was a tool. Good enough dude, but a moron on the field.
I will never understand the K9 bashing, but then again, been seeing it for years.

Meh, he's gone.

Didn't want him or couldn't afford him?

Remember that JS had to think about paying JSN and Spoon (which we're still waiting for).

I read somewhere that K9 already knew he wasn't coming back early on (I think it was either before the season or during the season)...

BTW, I hope K9 can stay healthy.

You see, I want K9 to be 100% when we face the Chiefs.

That way when we beat the crap out of Mahomes, there are no excuses. :devilish:

That's how I've always felt when it comes to any kind of team competition. I want the opponent at full strength so there are no excuses.

In the lead-up to SB 49, there was talk of Tom Brady getting suspended over the Deflate Gate scandal, but I was dead set against it, for had we won, they would have put this huge asterisk by the result noting that the GOAT didn't participate.

I did as well, I also read that he knew he wasn't coming back because JS in so many words said he wasn't. I've noticed that if a team wants you, they will initiate extensions long before the contract is up, that wasn't the case with Walker.

There's a lot of creative ways to find funds if they truly wanted to, Seems there's contracts that they could have restructured, They had funds to sign Sheheed, so I"m not sure it's strictly about monies.

It is his loss not celebrating with the team achieving the highest goal in his sport, he owes us no explanation, he is not a Seahawk and has no obligation to us as fans or to the team. He is a very private low-key introvert as well. Good luck in your future endeavors, and thanks for your contributions.
