Apparently Superbowl MVP Kenneth Walker was the only player from Seattle's 2026 Superbowl Team that was a no-show at the ring ceremony.

Other players who had also departed like Coby Bryant and Tariq Woolen were in attendance.

Reasons for his absence are unknown but the speculation is that he's still upset about having to share carries with Charbonnet in a contract year that led to his departure and joining with the Kansas City Chiefs.

I hold no ill will for K9, and wish him the best. He's a young man, and he'll learn over time that it's a waste of one's own life to hold on to resentments.

I don't think he's the kind of person to hate anyone, just more sensitive to perceived disrespect. Remember, he's had to fight his way in to the football world. Nobody wanted him in college, so he had to go small college, show his stuff, then transfer to Michigan State.

And football takes a lot of drive and passion to play, we've all seen the good and bad sides of that. He'll grow from this, and I hope he'll always be welcome in Seattle.

Sheesh let's take it easy on the guy, and try not to forget what he did for us especially in the post-season.

I loved him while he was here and harbor no ill will. To be fair though unless he had some pressing reason not to come celebrate this with his teammates it will throw a shadow over his time here for awhile.

So we don't actually know why he didn't attend?

Sometimes shit happens. Sometimes things come up that might be more important to someone's personal life than a ring ceremony. Even if he didn't show up because he's butt hurt, who cares?

I mean, sorry, but I just don't understand why there appears to be some animosity towards K9 from some Seahawks fans. Just seems weird to me. The few interviews I've seen of K9 he's always seemed humble, well spoken, respectful, and thoughtful. I've only ever gotten the impression that he's a really good young man with a really good head on his shoulders that has worked really hard to get where he is in life.

The ring ceremony got me to thinking about who was there and who wasn’t. I thought I heard a few weeks ago that K9 would be there. If he was or wasn’t, no big deal either way.

What I’m wondering about, was the ceremony just for the 2025 team members, staff etc? Or, because they are essentially in OTA season, did free agents and draft picks get invited too? I can see this both ways. The 2025 roster and staff earned the rings so it’s their party. But were there a couple tables in the back for the new guys to see what’s happening and maybe light a little fire under them so that they can get themselves one next year? Motivation comes in many different ways.
If I was just added to the team and saw what my new teammates were getting, I sure as shit would want to do everything in my power to get one too!

Good take but it does show a level of immaturity on his part.

This was for all 2025 teammates. I’m sure they let the 2026 players attend to see what they are working so hard for but nobody from the 2025 team getting a ring was excluded

If "perceived disrespect" was the reason, then I agree.

But the truth is we really don't know why he didn't attend.

What IS damning for him, though, is that friggin' Woolen attended (who proved he was all about himself and not the team last season when he almost blew their chance at the very ring he now wears).

I hope it comes out that there was a family emergency or something 'cause if it was what was speculated ("Perceived disrespect"), that's not a good look for him.

Again, I find myself in the minority, make that absolute minority. In my opinion, without K9, we may not participate in the Super-Bowl, even if we did, we probably wouldn't win it.
