So we all know that teams tend to loose the week after playing us.
Panthers L to Bills
Niners L to Colts
Jags L to Colts
Texans L to Niners
Colts L to Chargers
Titans L to Niners
Cards W to Falcons
Rams L to Titans
Bucks W to Fins
Falcons L to Bucks

But another thread got me thinking... Teams we faced in the Playoffs are broken this year, and will not be making the playoffs.
Redskins 3-7
Falcons 2-8
Not saying, just saying.

If memory serves there was a long run of sb losers who missed the playoffs the following year.

Sf is officially in risk of that this year.

You are correct. It always reminds me of stories like this one. Regression to the mean is a huge factor that always seems obvious in hindsight but never at the time. The Falcons and Texans had great records last year so of course they must be top Superbowl contenders this year too, etc.

Which makes the Buffalo Bills 4 straight Superbowl run that much more amazing. Stupid kicker, though Levy puckered up in that first Superbowl as well.
