Love Greenard, but he had an off year, due in part to a serious shoulder injury. After two consecutive 12-sack years, he played 12 games in 2025 and had just 3 sacks. Still, $22 million a year (and 29 years old) is a pretty good deal for a premier edge rusher. I would trade a second rounder for him.

I think that what the Vikings are thinking is that their defense played pretty well without him after they shut him down for the year. Plus, they have serious cap issues.

What gives me pause is that if the Vikings are really shopping him, then it's twice that two good defensive minds (Brian Flores of the Vikings and Demeco Ryans of the Texans) have decided not to bring him back.

Good thing they opted for the cheaper QB then.

We're not getting Greenard. He is a backup plan so just kicking tires. Maxx Crosby is who they will go after again and hard. He is Plan A, B and C.

We don't have the ammo to get Crosby. No way we can compete against teams with early round picks, and players they are begging to get off the payroll.

Greenard isn't Crosby, but he costs $22 million per year instead of $35 million. In 2024, Greenard had 12 sacks, 18 tackles for loss and 22 QB hits. Those are some pretty good numbers. And if you can get him for a second-round pick? That's better than the 2 firsts you have to give up for Crosby.

They will have to cut him. Why would you give up a second for him? Only way that happens is if there is a bidding war for him.

Getting a high level pass rusher like Greenard is worth more than a second-round pick. It's actually better to get him in a trade and get him at $22 million per year instead of having to outbid other teams if he's released.

Maxx Crosby is the more popular player but I think people are starting to overrate him big time. People talking about 2 first round picks for him?! Dude isn’t a QB and he’s not Myles Garrett. Give me the cheaper yet effective still guy all day.

Mike made eMan look special last year. He made Clowney look dang good after a couple down years. Let the process play out. This coaching staff and front office are top notch.

There's a few rushers that have been cut that could be options if plan b, c etc don't work. Khalil Mack. Cam Jordan, Joey Bosa, Reddick
