He wa an awesome draft pick, but I was more happy that the team traded him away for 2 -1t rd picks. Always believed he didn't wan to be in Seattle.

I'm in the meh. crowd.

Joey Galloway holds the Seahawks record at 4 punt returns for TD's, Leon Washington has the record for kickoff returns for TD at 4 also.
Bobby Joe Edmonds holds two Seahawk records, most punt return yards in a career (1,010 yards) and most PR yards in a season (419 yards). Edmonds also made the AFC Pro Bowl squad in 1986 as a rookie.

Just rewatched Tory Horton's 95 yard punt return against the Saints.
With Shaheed, Horton and Emmanuel Henderson in the mix, plus J. Price had 3 kickoffs returned for TD's on 22 returns with a 36 yard average at ND.

Can't help but wonder,
a) who handles the KR, PR duties this year?
b) could some of the above records be broken soon?
Edited to say, #84 will be worn by Emmanuel Henderson Jr.

Love him as a player with the Hawks but hated him for holding out and then wanting out. I really thought when he came back in 2000 that was a missing piece but it didn't work out that way.

Wasn't it a game in Jacksonville where he scored 3 ways? A kick return, reception and took a reverse for a rushing TD?

Joey like Springs wanted a bigger spotlight to showcase himself.

Such a great deep threat, glad Seahawks at least got picks that led to Shaun Alexander era.

As you can tell, I am trying to spark a trend here and get fellow members to follow suit...

Perfect time of the year to celebrate our favorite legacy players...

Joey Galloway was a freakin' phenom. This skinny WR from OSU didn't seem like that big a signing until he got on the field. I have said this since he arrived in 1995 and I still believe it today: Joey Galloway is the fastest player I have ever seen on a NFL football field.

If memory serves, I think he pulled a 4.1 40.

Warren Moon to Galloway were things of beauty. Art, even. Moon had one of THE best arms in the game and Galloway had the speed to match it. Poetry in motion. What are your memories of Joey Galloway?

I remember driving down E Valley Hwy, towing the brand new boat I just picked up at Gonnason's marine in Kent, listening to the radio as the Seattle 1st round draft pick of 1995 loomed only to get pulled over for not having the lights plugged in. The fine Kent LEO asked me what I was doing and I explained that I was waiting for the pick, so he invited himself to the passenger window so we could both hear that it was Galloway before pumping fists and separating ticket free. I took the boat to my first home, purchased a fort nite prior and rather than mess with the new toy I went straight to the TV so I could see ANY coverage of Galloway and the draft. 10 years later, I was married with two kids, a new home and the Seahawks were headed to their first SB. I wish Galloway would have worked things out with Holmgren in 1999. No one, not even Moon (who threw the best deep ball of all time IMHO) was going to overthrow Galloway, so I remember Joey having to hit the brakes, waiting for passes from several QBs and the DB still wouldn't catch up sometimes. Think Percy Harvin without the mind games.

I loved Joey because he was a Seahawk. It did become clear that he and Holmgren didn’t mix well though.

I loved getting two first rounders from Dallas for him though. We took Shaun Alexander with one of those picks. (The other being Korean Robinson).

Forgotten to many is the fact that Joey blew his ACL in his very first game with the Cowboys. It was a disastrous trade for Jerruh.

Great memory, totally forgot about all of that! I do remember he was not a Holmgren guy though, at all

Holmgren did not tolerate Divas, why Alexander was on the bench for the start of his career. Watters was abrasive and had a mouth, but he was a worker. Alexander coming from Bama had a vision of himself that had not been earned and thought walking in the building he was the anointed starter.

Its all about if they give the same guy punt return duties for 4-5 years. 1000+ yards is more than breakable, given a guy has 5 years to do it.

Joey was the next big show after Largent, and he didn't disappoint.

And how it shoud go, progression says JSN will break all of Largent's records...but it will not be easy

SA was "it" for me. Didn't see any controversy with Galloway. 2 firsts was a good return.
