I think Garcia backed up his opinion fairly well. The Hawks have a better D right now, but the Saint's offense is a little more dynamic.............key words RIGHT NOW.

When our O-Line and Harvin get another 4-5 weeks under their belt? Not so sure that statement will be true anymore.

But I know, I know.........EVERY.SINGLE.PERSON.WHO.SLIGHTS.US.MUST.BE.CHASTISED!!!!!!!!!!!

I was actually very surprised Eric Davis picked the Seahawks.

Eventually you turn everyone into a believer.

To be honest, someone, someday is going to get lucky and "hit the jackpot" and call a home loss for the Hawks. Might as well be a Meatsack like Garcia or Dilfer. Until that day comes I am sure the Hawks will be happy to disappoint the lil fella December 2nd!

I just don't get this complaint.

Garcia has a differing opinion, doesn't really say anything objectionable about the Seahawks, and yet he's a bad guy because he didn't pick us? Seems a little weak in the panty twist department...

That said, I always thought a little more of Garcia than other fans I know. He always struck me as that guy that nobody wanted to succeed, yet he always put up good numbers and never really bitched about the lack of organizational and fan support.

Trent Dilfer, on the other hand, needs to stop talking likes he's some HOF'er who threw for 75,000 yards and 400 TD's. Maybe I'm wrong about this, but I would think he's generally considered the "weakest" of the Super Bowl winning quarterbacks. And the fact that the Ravens didn't want him back after winning it all should say something about his QB abilities (or lack thereof). But none of that seems to stop the jackass from talking (and acting) like he's in the peer group of Brady, Warner, Favre, Manning and Brees. I was just listening to SVP & Russillo and Dilfer is on there, talking about the Brees hit in the 49er game; his demeanor is so ridiculous for such a marginal NFL quarterback. In the span of five minutes he was an analyst, a psychologist and a doctor...he was a complete 'effing blowhard.

IMO, he's become one of the more embarrassing former Seahawks. We've had guys that have done criminal things, but those idiots tend to fade quickly from memory; Dilfer, on the other hand, just won't go away and die. Where is laryngitis when you really need it?

Brees is the better QB, but he's a different player away from home. It'll be a tough game for sure.

Over sensitive much? My god Garcia could have only been more complimentary of the Seahawks is if he said they were better then the Saints. This post is ridiculous.

Exactly. It's not like he disrespected us. It's also not an insult to pick a team with the better QB (sorry, Brees is still better than Wilson at this point) and the better passing game, especially in this era of the NFL and how they protect QBs, WRs, and the passing game in general.

We have a dominating defense. How many times this year have we been saddled with complete crap PI calls ? And it's not just us. It doesn't matter how good your DBs are when the refs manufacture offense for the other team. Hell, half the time I think it's for ratings as everyone likes a close game with an imminent comeback.

Can we please stop manufacturing disrespect ? It's starting to make our fans look pretty silly; us whining about disrespect and lack of media coverage and we're 10-1 and were the hands down medai darlings of the NFL in this offseason.

Oh my gosh you guys, nowhere in any of my posts did I act all butt hurt about Garcia's comments. I just stated that in my view he's wrong. Talk about manufacturing. As previously stated, my title was meant to be hyperbolic in order to catch peoples attentions that's all. Not sure why everyone needs to come to Garcia's defense anyway the guy's a Niner.

As far as the disrespect thing is concerned, saying that another team is going to come into our house and beat us in the midst of an unprecedented home winning streak while we're starting to hit our stride is not a sign of respect. This would never be said if it were the Pats, Packers, Giants, Broncos, Saints or Niners. Look at last years season long coronation of the Niners. Media heads dripping over Kaepernick before he'd even done anything. The double standard is so obvious and yet many here just turn a blind eye to it because it isn't overt. I don't have to be slapped in the face to feel disrespected.

No you didn't, you stated his opinion on the game makes him a Seahawks hater. As if nobody could ever pick against us unless they have some personal vendetta against the team.

Dude as I've already stated my thread title was meant to be sarcastically inflammatory not factually accurate. I never thought in a million years a bunch of supposedly elated Seahawk fans would get all spun out and incensed about me taking a shot at a former Niner QB turned media bloviator. Taking that one thing out of my posts please show me where I insinuate that anyone that picks against us has a vendetta. I do feel that the Seahawks continue to be the brunt of back handed compliments and slights. Very few would have picked the Niners to lose at the Stick last year regardless of the competition.
