Of having 6-8 wins.

Way to go Jeff!

7-9 looks like a foregone conclusion at this point after a loss next week and a win over Santa Clara to close out the year.

Look at it this way. The Seahawks can give Fischer a losing record for X-Mas!

....and who says Seattle isn't generous? :D

Fun fact.. Fisher has 21 years of head coaching experience in the NFL and only 6 winning seasons to show for it.

With one more win this year, Pete Carroll would have 6 winning seasons in 10 years as a NFL head coach.

He had a couple of good seasons before the realignment when the AFC Central had 6 teams; 4 of which were annually mediocre or terribad. After the realignment, he had one solid season after getting the #1 seed, but then got bounced out of the playoffs in the first game by the Ravens. That's pretty much it. Why this guy even has a job is beyond me. He's 1 or 2 seasons away from having the most losses of all-time.

And the Niners fans on the webzone have a thread promoting the idea of making him their next head coach.

Mama always said stupid is as stupid does.

That was his one impressive season. 13-3 record, and they beat all the other 10+ win teams in the playoffs -- the Bills, @Colts, and @Jags -- a combined 38-10. No other team was better than 9-7, so there wasn't much parity that year. Then again, the AFC always feels that way.

Kind of ironic he's now the coach of the team that he lost to in the SB by 1 yard.

6 Seasons over .500
15 Seasons at or below .500

Astonishing.

Last winning season. 2008.
Last time at .500 2009

Good enough to be safe another year.

Next season is 2016 lol

As A Rams fan I was impressed with how his defense would bend but not break with the Rams blistering air attack of the first half in SB34. He rallied his team to nearly tie it at regulation.

lame duck coach, plain and simple.

Kroenke doesn't want to change coaches until he figures out his stadium situation. The caliber of coach he can get goes up 10 fold if the team moves to LA.

Why else keep Fisher? Dude is about the break the record for most losses by a coach ever.

Yeah that's my opinion as well. I think once they are officially in LA next year, hes gone in the interest of selling more tix.

I also had a thought about Fisher and why he teaches dirty, cheap shot football. I think it's at least partly because he's pissed cuz he sucks as a coach and knows it (even he can't deny the career W/L record) and it's a form of lashing out (acting out) against the world. Very juvenile. Even if he can't win, he'll show everyone!

Blistering Air attack? That that defense almost allowed the Bucs to come back and take the win. Lets see who is the real Rams here next week.

I said this three year ago when the Hawks were punching teams in the mouth ON the field. Fisher teaches fake tough, instead of real tough, to be intimidating within the rules like we are.

Instead he coaches his players to take cheap shots, doesn't care about personal foul penalties and all that nonsense. That's why Williams was such a good fit at D coordinator, Mr. Bountygate himself.

He was speaking about the Rams-Titans Suerbowl. Kurt Warner's air attack was phenomenal.
