Couldn't give a RIP about QB ratings, what interest me is where RW has our team in FEB, Jaws can rate him 32 behind Kolb and Sanchez for all i care as long as we're in NJ this winter...

You mean the guy that looked like a deer in the headlights at Quest field? Russell has never behaved like such a lost puppy...not even during game one when the Cards were bringing everything but the kitchen sink. Further, that was behind an OL that was far inferior to the Niners at pass pro.
I can buy that Kaep has the upside to be as good or better than Russell, but this ranking wasn't supposed to be based upon potential. Anybody could look good and advance pretty far as a team if they had a fortress for an OL and excellent QB coaching.
Chris Harper kinda reminds me a little bit of Terrel Owens (on paper) big strong fast guy, to team up with Harvin. If Chris pans out and Harvin stays true to form, that can be one of the better WR tandems in the NFL.KCHawkGirl":1jgb2pdp said:Exactly. Forget the fact they lost Goldston and Crabtree while we added Harvin just move along nothing to see here.scutterhawk":1jgb2pdp said:On Kaepernick, VS. Russell Wilson///Jaws? vs. Gruden?, who's the better QB prospect?----- I'll take Grudens analysis for $500 Alex.HawKnPeppa":1jgb2pdp said:Not saying this wouldn't have been a nail-biter had Kaep played all 16 games, but who's body of evidence is larger? Haven't read his reasoning yet, but I suppose he's favoring potential based upon physical tools? ...Or possibly the SB appearance with a very good team around him?
CORRECT!

Everyone has their own opinion and of course we are going to favor our own team. But the talking heads are going to favor the guy that got the furtherest, and that's not unfair.
Remember the game against them you are referring to had a dramatic turning point. That blocked kick returned to make it 21-zip instead of 14-3 took the wind out of the ninnirs sails at that point.
But most people will take that kind of whipping as a mostly one time thing because the QB went on to the SB. You don't have to like the guy but should admit he went further than our guy.

Loafo, a lot of the rankings is based also on the players surrounding each QB. The RB's, TE's and WR's and O Line contribute to that ranking sometimes directly, and mostly indirectly.loafoftatupu":23u30hxi said:Kaeperstank is a great player. He will have success at his craft, Wilson will too. in fact, each one is likely to be referred to as a winner when their careers are over.
I don't care who is doing the ranking and how they rank the players. It means absolutely ZERO. I never give any thought to those things, whether they have our favorite players high or low.
We know how good RW is, nothing said about him will impact the bottom line.
