Meh burger. He's a Raider now. He doesn't matter.
Yep, the league minimum for a 7+ year veteran is $1.255M. This is as close to a no-risk move as one can get. IMO a lot of folks are overreacting. Except for the PR hit Pete's having to take, this isn't a mistake. There's a good chance that Pete's doing this as nothing more than a personal favor to an old friend.Spotrac says Adams has a 1 year contract for the veteran minimum salary of $1.255M. No signing bonus or guarantees are listed. It's essentially a try-out.

Playing him at LB has some disadvantages, too. At 213 lbs, he's a little on the light side, plus his tackling has never been a long suit of his. But on the other hand, he's just 29 years old and supposedly in great shape, so who knows. I wouldn't have wanted us to sign him just for the PR hit our staff would take, but it's a good gamble for Pete.A few random thoughts:
Patrick Graham is a more seasoned DC, than Ken Norton or Hurtt.
Playing him as LB minimizes his coverage issues
He might be more coachable after being humbled over and over
I was gonna like this and agree but then you said we should play the raiders every week and I almost choked.I’m equally pumped and jacked that PC has mended the relationship and is personally seeing to playing him in the best position as he can, it’s a great last chance honestly and I hope it works it would be another feather in Pete’s cap. We should play the raiders every week.
