@AdamSchefter

Former Pro-Bowl safety Jamal Adams is signing with the Lions practice squad with the idea that he’ll be elevated to Detroit’s roster, per source. Adams had been eyeing an opportunity with a playoff contender.Adams’ agent, Kevin Conner of @UniSportsMgmt, confirmed the agreement.

Do the Lions not have the league-mandated minimum number of players on IR, or do they just want to test team chemistry? Maybe they're signing him to be their new social media director. That would be about as useful as actually playing him.

He was mailing it in at the Clink. He is going to have to give full effort, or he is GONE forever. It has been known to motivate players.

They are hurting at linebacker. I wonder if they are bringing him in to play LB. A position he didn't want to play for the Hawks.

Every time I saw his name on the injury report, I thought "why didn't we play him at a position where he would have been exposed to even more hits?".

Yeah, even though i think his instincts are better at playing from the LB spot. I just can't see him staying healthy.

Calling it now. I've had a gut feeling all year the lions lay an egg in the play offs. Possibly to us (Not that we would do much more than that). Just feels like they are peaking too early

I agree with Soul. They may well not win the Superbowl - but if laying an egg means getting whipped by someone they should beat - yeah - I don't see that happening. Just too many tools. I mean, they go to the Superbowl last year if not for that freak bounce off the helmet completion against the 9ers.

The Lions have 13(!) defensive players on IR. I think I even heard somewhere that they're so desperate, they signed Jamal Adams and are activating him for tonight's game.

They're holding up admirably, but this getting to be too much. I don't think they get through the playoffs. Campbell is a moron who would probably screw it up regardless.

Is tonight's game against the Packers going to be even remotely close?

I know everyone fawns over the size if Dan’s cajones, but I think at times he can be wrecklessly cavalier and aggressive with his playcalling. Yeah, it worked tonight against the Packers and he HAS had success to be sure.

But that NFCCG last year on the road in hostile territory with the lead, you take the points. Fourth and inches? Sure. But fourth and whatever they were multiple times? Take the points. I understand it’s their identity and all, but it’s an important football game, not a macho contest. They were immature decisions that cost them the game way more any freak bounces.

Others disagree with valid reasons and I respect that, but damn, their stubbornness to live a die by the sword regardless of situation kept them from winning a franchise defining game they mostly dominated.
