Spotrac says Adams has a 1 year contract for the veteran minimum salary of $1.255M. No signing bonus or guarantees are listed. It's essentially a try-out.

Yep, the league minimum for a 7+ year veteran is $1.255M. This is as close to a no-risk move as one can get. IMO a lot of folks are overreacting. Except for the PR hit Pete's having to take, this isn't a mistake. There's a good chance that Pete's doing this as nothing more than a personal favor to an old friend.

A few random thoughts:

Patrick Graham is a more seasoned DC, than Ken Norton or Hurtt.

Playing him as LB minimizes his coverage issues

He might be more coachable after being humbled over and over

Playing him at LB has some disadvantages, too. At 213 lbs, he's a little on the light side, plus his tackling has never been a long suit of his. But on the other hand, he's just 29 years old and supposedly in great shape, so who knows. I wouldn't have wanted us to sign him just for the PR hit our staff would take, but it's a good gamble for Pete.

I’m equally pumped and jacked that PC has mended the relationship and is personally seeing to playing him in the best position as he can, it’s a great last chance honestly and I hope it works it would be another feather in Pete’s cap. We should play the raiders every week.

I was gonna like this and agree but then you said we should play the raiders every week and I almost choked.
Can we do that?
