Is there any hope next years postseason will be different?

I refuse to take the Cardinals seriously.

Looking at the other three teams, the Niners lost Saleh and seem like they will lose Sherman and have QB uncertainty.

I think it depends on what they do with the cap - in a normal year, Rams would be in decent shape. If the cap comes way down like it's projected to, whoever can navigate that the best will be in the best shape.

It feels like Staley will be poached to be a HC, and we're over the projected cap right now and see to re-sign John Johnson, Leonard Floyd and Troy Hill - Rams fans are preparing for all three to leave.

Darious Williams is also an RFA - he went from unknown to a top CB this year - if we give him a low tender, someone will try to sign him too.

And we also have QB issues.

Summary: I think the cap will play a huge factor in who wins this division next year.

Brilliant post, and especially that stat of rolling Wilson out ZERO times on 35 dropbacks vs the Rams, beyond pathetic.

That was my number ONE biggest beef of the entire game. I kept screaming at the TV:

"WHY AREN'T YOU ROLLING OUT?!?!?!"

Worst case of a complete and utter lack of adjusting to a defense I have ever seen, especially in the playoffs.

For that alone I am happy Schotty is in the rear view mirror.

I spent the last 3-4 years being patient thinking maybe PC will either a) let the OC take over the plays or b) actually adjust to his team and the opposing defenses. The first half of the season I was dumbfounded that maybe an old dog finally did learn new tricks, but was concerned that the second it did not work he would revert back to what he knows. And that it would ultimately find its way out of the playoffs at its usual spot. So I'm not hopeful. I know this team will continue to be good (9-11+ win team, make play offs usually), but I also know it will not be great. Not unless they find a way to free up A LOT of salary cap space (RW salary adjustment or trade).
