Is there a worse O-line in the league?

I truly believe the root of all our problems stems from the O-line. Is there a worse one in the league? They have been just so unspeakably bad that it makes me wonder what Geno and Grubb could do with a halfway competent line

There is not. I haven't looked prior to today at rankings but I believe they are neck and neck with the Patriots who can actually run block alright. The Patriots also have a billion dollars in cap space to spend next year.

This is JS's wart and if he continues to sit on his hands with this positional group, I am fine with him being on the hot seat. The crew they roiled out this season is unacceptable.

You're not alone. Root of all problems no doubt. This team will continue to have these big ups and downs no matter the defense, no matter Geno, no matter who's coaching or what coordinators, or any other. Those are all magnified because of this shit show of an offensive line. Patrick Mahomes couldn't consistently win behind this offensive line. No body can convince me otherwise.

I don’t know if there is a worse offensive line than Seattle.

Every year I hope Seattle drafts offensive lineman early and hit on a few of them at least 2/5 years or so. And that would possibly be average…

We’ll see…

I feel the exact same way.

I don’t think OL is the problem but maybe a few but the problem lies in strength and position coach with OL coach

That's just giving a reason why OL is the problem, doesn't mean OL is not still the problem.

And on offense, the OL IS the problem.

Fire JS. hire a GM with a track record of drafting and signing great offensive lines. And maybe a damn late round QB once in a while.

Todays run game

Walker 9 Carries for 12 years

Charbonnet 3 caries 4 yards

Geno 5 carries for 16 yards on

When We try to run and we find ourselves in third and long.

Defenses completely play the pass

We become one dimensional which makes it hard to pass block

Same shit as the year before and the before that and on and on.

This is the Seahawks biggest problem.

Very few I'm sure. But this O Line is painfully bad. And Geno looks like a deer in the headlights, often. Excuses won't change that.
Probably shouldn't have hired an OL coach who hasn't coached in the NFL before.

Same for OC.

Makes sense how terrible they look. It ain't all talent.

The o-line is the softest group of big men I've ever seen. How do men the size of houses get bullied and pushed around every game?

At least with bad o-lines in the past they could at least run block.

This seems like an achilles heal for JS. Don't seem to draft well at the guard position, won't really pay free agents big money.

Same with special teams. They have not looked good either.

Our coaching staff is way too green, including a first time DC.

There should have been more experienced hires to offset the rookie HC.

This guy was blocking for Derrick Henry (while both were with the Titans) as OG- https://www.sportsmockery.com/chica...tened-the-pot-in-a-possible-nate-davis-trade/

Apparently the Bears are not playing him much lately. Could be a good trade target for the Seahawks, may not take much to get him. Sounds like he is a good run blocker at the bear minimum. Power and foot quickness were his strengths coming out of college - https://www.nfl.com/prospects/nate-davis/32004441-5638-7014-16dd-ae9208a0087f
