Then the defense can fully commit to stopping it.

i say just ban it all together. 1) it seems like it would be a safety thing and 2) it's impossible to even see where the ball is, plus all you do is keep climbing on top of the pile until it's blown dead. even then there is no way to be down because you have 20 people below you so you never touch the ground. just get rid of it

"It's undefendable" - If it is undefendable, how many other teams are doing it successfully? No one, that I know of....which suggests success is a matter of personnel and skillset.

"It'll cause injuries" - are there any statistics showing that there is a higher chance of injury during the tush push? If there is data to indicate that more injuries happen, then the NFL will take a serious look at a ban. Also, the first time Jalen Hurts fails to walk away from the play even briefly, the Eagles will stop using it. I'm am not advocating this....but I'm a bit surprised other teams haven't found a way to injure the QB while he's under the pile.

Can you imagine the Seahawks trying it? We can't get an inch of push in a short yardage situation at the best of times. I imagine if we tried it, it would result in the entire offense and the QB lying on the ground a full yard away from the line to gain.

I imagine Geno laying on the ground after a tush push for 1 yard clutching the ball to his chest looking up at the ref asking if he got the first down only for the ref to look at the chains then back at Geno and just laughs because he's now 5 yards short
