Some things left out there but yeah he has been good these last two years. I'm glad we have him.

I heard he and broadway joe are the only 2 quarterbacks drafted by the jets to start a Super Bowl.

And he’s the only USC quarterback to start a Super Bowl

The stats did not include a couple other important numbers (although passer rating does include a couple of them in it's metric):
  • sacks
  • INTs
  • rushing yards
  • others?
But Sam stacks up well overall. I'm glad we have him!

The deadly turnovers are his and every QBs kryptonite. He’s gotten it under control too which is awesome. He’s the same she as Kyler?!

I read Darnold is the first SB QB to have even PLAYED for the Jets at any point since Namath. Pretty crazy if that's true.

Darnold RUSHED for 800 yards and 13 TDs his senior year of HS, and was rated the nation's 8th best "dual threat" QB by Rivals.

He can move ok, but I was surprised he had those kind of wheels.

If it’s played for the jets before they played in a SB that’s probably true. I know Farve and Rodgers played for them after going… Shows you how messed up that organization has been for decades

Begs the question, is Sam elite?

If not, what does it take, and what do these facts mean?

ETA
Will he be elite if the Seahawks win 60?
It’s crazy that he’s the winningest QB over the last 2 seasons and the bulk of the media still talk about him as a game manager type QB. And he did it playing for 2 different teams which makes it way harder.

To me he is elite… For the talking heads that don’t really know shit about football, it’ll probably take winning 60 to change that narrative

Not just the last 2 seasons, but literally the most wins of any QB (tied with Brady) in back to back seasons in NFL history. Granted the 17 game schedule definitely factors in to that, but still, pretty crazy.
