"It is supposed to be snowy and freezing according to long-term forecasts".

This part, to me, is ridiculous. Yes folks, I know..."it's football", but there should be no advantage for any team over another in deciding a championship. What if SD fought their way to the SB, but had to play GB in the snow?

Further, such weather just complicates the logistics of everything, from the media to the fans, etc. A big reason I do not plan to be in attendance.

But surely Green Bay are actually disadvantaged by the fact that they have to play in the snow several times during the regular season?
Yes, you can look at any one off and say Green Bay have the advantage of playing a team not used to playing in snow, but they have to do it regularly should either mean it's A: tough for them, or B: unfair that they have to play in a warmer climate than they are used to

IMO if you can't win the game because of a little snow you shouldn't be the NFL champion

Good points (real good) but if GB plays in the snow regularly, would doing so actually be a disadvantage for them? I keep getting flashbacks of that terrible Apple cup that doomed my Dawgs...so don't mind me. But we'd all hate to see it doom our Hawks, even though we are built for rain, sleet or snow. We're the frikin mailmen of the NFL.

Peyton plays worse in cold weather, but so does every quarterback. And to be fair, Peyton spent most of his career playing his home games indoors so almost all of those cold weather games were on the road. 16 out of the 18 games on that chart are away games.

Excellent observation on the away games....combined with the unfamiliar elements, chances of losing are increased (for every QB, as you suggest).

I think more of us are closely monitoring Peyton because unlike all QBs, he's had 3 neck surgeries. Arthritis is definite and depending on the arm that was most traumatized by the neck impingement(s), his will be a much tougher task in the cold. I know this to be fact and the first thing I thought of when he signed on to play a mile in the sky, snow and cold dominating second half forecasts. And like many, if not most, I am definitely seeing him labor more and more on anything intermediate and beyond, practically contorting his entire body, frequently even taking his eye off the target, to get any zip on the ball at all. I wish him continued success, just not against us.
